Apparently I'm the only one in my area who has enough patience for these kind of rebuilds. But I'm also an amateur. I tell them up front what I may have to do and send pics of progress. But also tell them what I might have to do to pull the rebuild off , like using other animal bones that I cut to precision for gaps. Just wondering what do you use to fill the gaps?
that was a good video. I wanted to share this. I take a Q-tip and cut one end on an angle and use it to put small amounts of glue in tight places and if you get to much you have the other side to wipe it off quickly before it dries. I use the same glue. the Q-tip allows for the fine details of those tiny bones . Loved the video
that's great if you have all the pieces! I was given a SUPER old shattered predator skull from an old taxidermy guy and ugh it's missing pieces but it just seems like such a shame to throw away >.>
i have 2 bull skulls but with forehead pieces missing they were not perfect when i got them do you have suggestions? i thank you for your videos and any tips you can send me will be tried and appreciated
I like to use wood glue instead of super glue. I like my bones to have more of a natural color to them, and the wood glue blends in really well. Also, it comes apart in water, so if I ever need to unglue it for whatever reason, its fairly simple.
Quick Tip for those that prefer superglue: it holds super strong BUT will dissolve in acetone (which is often used for degreasing and is safe for the bone) if you make a mistake or want to unglue for whatever reason :)
I have a European mount that I just had completed... when I got home and was working on attaching it to a board it fell and shattered the nose on the ground. Is it possible to rebuild a nose onto the original Mount using parts of a different skull?
Hey love your vids just a quick question im in Northern California and i like your Euro mounts and i cant find anyone in the area that can do it here how could i send you a skull for you to Euro it?
If you are in a hurry with "super" glues you can get accelerators and they dry as soon as you spray the glue. I use it when I turn pens. I have a few antler pens that I use it on. The accelerator doesn't do anything to the bone color wise.
recently dropped a super old raccoon skull and it broke in three pieces Couldn’t get the other auditory bone in the right place but a little bit of E6000 seemed to do the trick for the rest of it (it’s not on a hanging mount it’s in a jar display so)
I would love to see you do both a turtle skull and shell of possible. I love watching your videos man!

Fantastic job! Thankfully, though bone can shatter badly, it is quite forgiving to fix and join back together without looking a mess
Good job dude 👍
Do you actually use "mop & glow" that you can get at the grocery store to remove the sheen? Thanks!

Have you ever used polycrylic instead of mop and glow to finalize?
Nice job RYAN O DAD
That’s cool..
Could you do a dinosaur skull next?
Thanks.
+Lucky Dane Will do.
You can always paint the skull as well. That way you fill any cracks that don't sit right. I don't always like painted skulls but it's an option

Any suggestions on what to use to rebuild missing parts of a skull? Putty, bondo, plaster.... I have a long horn that squirrels ate away some parts.
Could you do my fiancee when he dies?....
Ahhhhhhhh yeah if it's he or she is a game animal. Thanks for watching.
Samantha Prime wtf
Would his skull be headshot too? Lol

That's is awesome info thank you. Would love to see the pens you make. Thanks for watching.
Does this work for small heads like rodents or chipmunks? It's all I can find.

I have a damaged roe deer skull. But there missing some bone how do i get it look nice?
Crown mount it.
Ever do a skunk? I've been wanting to do one, I know it's crazy but why not. Thanks
I have. I will do a film on one.
WHITEBONE CREATIONS HUNTING your a stud thanks man! Love the videos! Just followed you on istagram
imma jerk thank you Brother
did u tought about glue+baking soda?
How do you repair/patch a single bullet hole from the hunt??
I usually use air dry clay. It dries very hard and it sandable and paintable and much easier to use than bondo.
Mop and glow? How do I get rid of the super glue marks off the bone, I don't wanna sand it I don't wanna ruin it
I’ve done what you’re doing there with beaver skulls. Takes a while. It’s a good incentive not to shoot them in the head
Any ideas when the skull is gone. I’m wondering what to do wish I could send a picture
