Good God man, your truck looks like it’s trying to pull the front wheels even on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts!! As soon as I saw the title I knew you’d win because he’s 100hp down on you and those garbage dodges are so freaking heavy. I’ll bet that car weighs as much as your truck or at the very best it’s only 100lbs less. They’re pigs. That’s why they need 150-200 horsepower more than a Camaro or Mustang to even be comparable. You need a scat pack just to be able to compete with a base GT or SS.

Stangmode has the aerodynamics and he is racing a brick. His only chance to beat you is with the Mamba. The GT500 doesn't launch as well as Mamba.

@@aspavingllc8302 likely so he can leave in second gear. Also his tuner might have tune the trans to automatically shift while in manual mode. This would let him select the gear to start in and then let the TCU shift the car. Thats now my C7 is setup. It's great for roll racing.
But thats all just a guess.
Don't cut StangMode any slack! I the original color of that car that keeps bringing him bad luck with it. 😁

@@mytruthslays1303 okay fair enough doesn’t even have to be pro street, I live 5 miles from Summit Drag Strip. Even the street cars, barely any of them are actual true manual gearboxes, people running in the 10’s hell even 11’s with sequential gearboxes. And yeah this may be a street legal truck but it’s still purpose built for drag racing, no other way of putting that. Not to mention the Demon is a street legal car purpose built for drag racing, conveniently it can’t be bought with a manual. When you’re at 900hp+ a clutch manual isn’t even streetable, and running it on the strip is a recipe for missing a shift and making an oil spill on the strip. No way you’re gonna get a short enough throw in a regular cab truck to shift quick enough at all. Impracticality vs bragging rights, the logic doesn’t make sense “yeah I’m gonna spend $3k+ on a built manual transmission that might be able to handle the power I’m running so I can go slower”.
@@gabebarnett3529 And all those people you just mentioned are the EXACT people we don't call "real drivers". Guys like real teal (actually driven on the street), cleetus, silver surfer (actually driven on the street), are the ones who are "actually driving" their cars. A person who can stick shift a sub 7 second car is REALLY driving. There is so much more time and skill needed to be able to do that which is why we hold that caliper of racing to the standard it is. Put stangmode or any of these other non-manual driving folks in those cars and they would either; 1. Blow up the trans and motor, 2. Crash, 3. Only be able to get a fraction of the time the car is capable of due to not having the knowledge and technic to push it to its capabilities. I grew up and still live around some of the most popular tracks in north Texas. There is a reason why when the stick shift class pulls up to the line people actually get excited. Watching 9,10,11 second non-manual cars go down the track all day is the most boring shit in the world to watch. No offense to anyone with a 10 sec car, I'm not trying to insult anyone, it's just not that impressive. Despite all of that I still give guys like Dorian props because I give him credit for really bringing the f150 game to the forefront. Are their faster trucks? Sure. But he is the one who got it going and he deserves the props.
