I always found it funny that Nigella is usually so generous with food, but she has her stingy moments. There's enough for each girl to have maybe two pancakes. LOL
I think it is because with all the retakes, the kids would be too full of pancakes. I've noticed this in several of her episodes that the portions seem small, but then I realized they might have to film each eating scene several times.
Thank goodness for the added commentary. After seeing her pour oil from the bottle, it is nice that the commentator confirmed what I saw. Same with seeing her cut the tomato in half. Without the added commentary, I would have thought my eyes were deceiving me.
Let's be honest, we watch Nigella for HER commentary rather than her actual recipes. It should be a crime to mar a Nigella episode with almost-lifeless commentary.
Cocina algunas cosas riquisimas, hice 1 ensalada y 1 pasta, pero q desprolija xq cocina con campera puesta. Llega de la calle y sin lavarse a cocinar. Por lo demás me gusta el programa.
P.P.S. OK, so who's stupid idea was it to have a commentated voiceover for Nigella Lawson, of all people, who is known for keeping people interested in her presentations due to their tastiness, simplicity, and the good fun of her own vocal accompaniments to her cooking? She needs NO help, no burnishing, no top-off. You all are superfluous in a world full of need. Do this elsewhere!
P.S. OMG, this is a form of reality TV (cookery program) and the voiceover is worse than someone who's never had sex reading the seamiest silliness of the Barbara Cartland overheated opus! ICK.
It is weird to have a commentator doing a voiceover of the most obvious moves the cook makes that require nothing but to watch what is happening, because there is no room for interpretation!
@@akankshapatwari4167 It is not made clear in the descriptions of what we are watching. I am not a condescending person. Many voiceovers are stupid or inaccurate, so I could not figure out why Nigella Lawson allowed this. Furthermore, I am legally blind in one eye and almost so in the other, so tell me about poor eyesight. WHAT I FAIL TO SEE IS how these few obvious descriptions can help the blind with anything.
I get that the commentary is to aid sight impaired people and that's great, but "She pours it straight from a bottle"? Lol, how else would she have put oil in the pan? " She squeezes it straight from the olive"? sorry, it just amused me.
How can you fill up with such small pancakes and also no meat. Not here where I live we make large pancakes and have bacon or sausage on the side with milk or juice
Some people don't like to stuff themselves at every meal. Some yogurt and strawberries, or maybe two scrambled eggs, or 2 pancakes is more than enough for most of us on a day to day basis. I can't I.agine eating pancakes AND bacon AND juice or milk every morning. I'd need to crawl back into bed and take a nap after all that! :-P
Lol, it's easy to get full without meat - plenty of vegetarians and vegans do it every day. (not veggie myself, but I love vegetarian cooking, very satisfying)
Not everyone likes or can have big breakfast every morning. For me, two slices of whole grain toast with butter or almond butter with some coffee is enough.
Andrew Sadono oh no. Olive oil is absolutely healthy amd extra virgin olive oil even more so! However, oil is still oil and it should be consumed in moderation.
"She devours almost half in one gulp!" Hahahaha.... I wonder what Nigella would make of this lady's commentary??
Thank you so much for making your videos inclusive with audio description. It's much appreciated. You are fantastic!
One of the only posters of Nigella videos that also contain closed captions for those of us who can't hear! We're all happy!
:-)
That's awesome!!
Nigella :- a bit of olive oil .....
Commentator :- a generous amount of oil ...
Ridiculous 😂😂😂
Voice over is tired of Ms. Lawson's lies hahaha
The sight impaired are going to think this chick peas are whole on that toast.
"Pussyfoot cocktail?" Nigella can u say that out loud in public? You are making us blush!!
My job includes making disability friendly books so it's nice seeing the commentary for things that sighted people can infer just by watching.
Too much inferring, not enough drinking is what is wrong with the world!
When Nigella said Pussyfoot I haven't been that aroused and blush with her vocabulary since Microwavey. Man her English is so good.
"Don't be too hard on yourself!" - hmmm, so nice...
Rock hard right now!
That's just "migas con huevo a la mexicana". We mescans eat that all the time! Glad to see it made it across the pond! LOL.

Still... Just looking at the small portions.... Makes me hungry
after living here in Texas and re-watching this episode....she was making Migas..... *mindblown
Pretty close.
All you guys laugh over the narration but the real pearl is in the end when Nigella says "and a bit of ladely-ladely-ladely ho" 😂😂😂
you mean lately lately lately h0 if you have subtitles on hehe
"She grabs a fork and sits down to eat"...LOL thanks for the Update.
This is an audio description version of the show for people who have visual impairments
What's with the weird commentary????
these cooking shows are aired at night and its meant for people who can't see :)
I think it's for the blind.
but she explains what she does, blind people arent deaf
bowler8 they are explaining in the parts we see and she doesn't say anything. If you listen with your eyes closed
Blame BBC for the idea.
Okay but the narration is absolutely hilarious
Thank goodness for the added commentary. After seeing her pour oil from the bottle, it is nice that the commentator confirmed what I saw. Same with seeing her cut the tomato in half. Without the added commentary, I would have thought my eyes were deceiving me.
K Y its for people who are blind ...
“What time did you go to bed last night? And I want the truth.”
😂
my thoughts was the same on the commentary. I guess it's like an audio book. But some of the commentary is kinda weird.
It take 10 minutes to cook but 40 minutes to clean up the mess in the kitchen.
I want someone like Nigella by my side to teach me cooking 🥺
those teenage girls - what an annoying collection of contemptuous cackling seagulls
Let's be honest, we watch Nigella for HER commentary rather than her actual recipes. It should be a crime to mar a Nigella episode with almost-lifeless commentary.
The MC is a kitchy touch!
Didn't care for the unnecessary narrator. Other than that I love watching Nigella.
Barbara Iris it’s done for the blind people ... lol
She beat me to the frappucinno. I make a similar using extra strong coffee frozen.
That frightful narration! Thank-you Captain Obvious!
The narration is meant for the visually impaired.

The voice overs are completely tacky.
Arik Thompson it's for the visually impaired
Chris Hartwig thanks a lot for explaining 😊
Why the commentary
P.S. OMG, this is a form of reality TV (cookery program) and the voiceover is worse than someone who's never had sex reading the seamiest silliness of the Barbara Cartland overheated opus! ICK.
Oh my god it is uncomfortable the explanations of this lady, Nigella doesn't need explaining every step, and now she is wiping her mouth,...... Ectect
That so-called narrator is absolutely ridiculous and laughable!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely love Nigella but. The commentary is ANNOYING!
NO GOURD
The depressed naration was really not necessary .
It's for the visually impaired
The narrator is annoying nigella is doing a grand job telling us how she’s cooking, get rid of narrator. Nigella has an amazing completion

Richard Royce Olive oil is not healthy? :s

Don’t need the narrator. Please.
The voice over is just as useless as the ph in phone 🙄🙄🙄
I can do without the in between narration, the play by play of what's going on. It's quite annoying.
What is with the idiotic commentary? It is juudicrous,
nyingma13 it's for the visually impaired
please take out the weird commentary

Monica Hall For internatioal distribution, the narration was omitted.
Monica Hall it’s for viewers who are visually impaired & theres no choice to omit them with the BBC at times.
