Ah, Mt. Diablo! We lived in Brentwood and my husband worked in Walnut Creek. My favorite thing was taking classes, you could learn anything in the bay area! and the food and the weather were nice too, as I'm sure you both know.
I believe more than likely it was titanium white. It didn't sound like he was using anything out of the ordinary, like lead white or flake white. I usually go by how they primed their surface, iirc he said acryic gesso. If he would have said lead primer then I would suspect he would have used more historical paints like lead white etc. This my just my opinion however. Hope this advise helps.
@@Handles-R-Lame Thank you for that! I just have to ask sometimes because I always hear the adjectival qualifier when someone is talking about white paint. Rarely if ever does it does a painter just say white. 😀
