If you were a suppressed people you would want a leader like Grindelwald who with his legendary skills and elder wand that can promise and fullfil this new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love , even right now in real life the world needs someone to save us
I like how with most tributes that use this song, the character is obviously using their inner darkness, but with Grindlewald, it’s just him casually walking and calmly talking
Comparing Grindewald with Voldemort, they are completely different. Volondemort just wanted to be the most powerful wizzard in the world. He didn't truly support the idea of pure blood. That is the main reason his followers were just scared of him. Grindewald truly believed in the idea of wizzards to become free of any restrictions they had. In my opinnion he is not a bad character, he is just the leader of another vision. Vision of freedom for wizzards. That is why I like him.
Exactly , Grindelwald was speaking what was on the hearts and minds of the people who already feel deeply about living in this new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love
Grindelwald terrifies me because any villain with some kind of eye defect always freaks me out but it was by far the best Harry Potter movie as it gave us the background we needed. Gribdelwald is such a deep and inter teasing character with such deep motives for everything he does. His manipulation skills make him a much more believable and stronger villain than voldermort and his intentions are more admirable
That's the thing about Grindelwald he didn't have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things , he was the only one bold enough to speak out about it and what people whose oppressed wouldn't want to live in this new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love
He does not trust anyone so that's why he made that circle to make sure that only his "loyal" followers join him for his cause. I think there is place only for Dumbledore in his heart.
Grindelwald knew love. He could wield it. He got one of the most important people in this series and most powerful to join him by L O V E. He drove a ligilimese almost crazy. In retrospect it might not make sense why Queenie left Jacob to join Grindelwald if all she wanted was Jacob, but that’s the brilliant part. He was able to manipulate someone who could read minds into joining him. Voldemort could never do that. He would dismiss it out of hand. That was his mistake with snape. Had Grindelwald been in snape’s timeline he would be able to make Snape ultimately his to control without it even seeming like it. Grindelwald was fearless. Voldemort was a cowered. Grindelwald literally posted his meeting add all over Paris. Voldemort literally hid at malfoy manor. He didn’t even stay at the ministry once it was his. When the aururs showed up at grindelwald’s meeting he told his followers to leave but he stayed and showed off some badass magic, he killed leta Lestrange and other aururs. Not Voldemort. Sure he fought Dumbledore, but the second the ministry showed up he fled. Only taking one of his followers with him. And I refuse to believe grindelwald couldn’t escape from nurmangaurd. He build that place. He had to have some sort of contingency plan. He escaped from Macusa prison, and he had probably never been there before.
That's the thing about Grindelwald he didn't have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling these things deeply already he was the only one bold enough to speak out about
I already like Grindelwald more than Voldemort or any other villain, because he is always calm and strives to protect his people from the horrible muggles.
Grindelwald didn't even have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things already for a long time, he was the only one bold enough to speak out about it, if not him then someone else will, they just want to live freely and being oppressed and suffocating to death is no life at all, with his legendary skills, elder wand and devoted followers the dream can become a reality and the impossible can be accomplished , they just want to live the life they crave and desire deeply in their own hearts and minds , it's awe inspiring and empowering to see someone of your own race leading the world being able to help achieve the dream😎💫
Gellert Grindelwald is such a better villain then Voldemort, even in the books. It’s his cool demeanour, his will and ease to wield powerful magics that go hand in and with his signature manipulative skill, rivalled only by Dumbeldore later on in his life. In contrast Voldemort is an angry sheet of paper without a nose who was defeated by a 15 month old child, and he periodically throws temper tantrums.
I made an edit with that song too...Maybe if you like that one you'll like mine :) I don't have many viewers but Im trying my best, I would be grateful if smbd actually watch it
Gellert and Albus have so many similarities it funny. I dont know if this is because they were best friends in the past but they play the game in such a similar way. I mean even years later these guys have the same tricks. Dumbledore does it moments: 0:51 - This is totally like how dumbledore waits for harry to the mirror of erised. Choose a child of prophecy. 1:12 - Dumbledore does this with draco on the astronomy tower. 1:24 & 2:24 - Dumbledore likes those big reveals (ie: Horcrux, prophecies, and memories) 2:48: This mans got his own order of the phoenix known as reapers. 3:30: Remember when Dumbledore casted firestorm?
Coming back to this masterpiece cause of the news: he ain't grindelwald anymore... QAQ brb gonna rewatch this a million times and also ur other vids cause i'm bawling y E P
Imagine how powerful Grindelwald and Dumbledore would be together, either good or bad... I would love to see a them together fighting for their aims. Together they could easily rule the whole world...
True, imagine being a wizard and witch being oppressed and suffocated in life and someone like Grindelwald came into our lives who can with his legendary skills and elder wand who can accomplish the impossible in a new world full of truth, freedom and love , it's inspiring and empowering to see someone of your own kind leading the world , it's a awe inspiring race thing and I would follow Grindelwald into it
Well, is it only me who thinks that someone like Grindelwald, the great wizard, would want Credence because he's his chance to make his dreams and plans come true? I really can't think that. Bcs he's The Grindelwald, you know what I mean. So there's something else behind that. It has to be. And although I know that the Grindeldore just won't come true, I really want Credence to be at some point Grindelwalds way how to show Dumbledore he can love if not like a man, he can like a father. And I want to believe, that there will be something, even if it would be something small and unnoticeable, between two of them. Then I'll be truly full of joy and happiness. Until that, I'll be dreaming with eyes wide open and trying to see if there's not any Wizarding community behind those curtains of muggle ignorance and blindness. This video makes me feel sad, but it makes me feel - well, I have to say that. It makes me feel like one of his followers, because there is really something in what he's doing and what he's saying. So, maybe you hate me now, but I am sure about that. I would definitely join him in his way to expose magical world to muggle because it makes no sense to hide from them, as I know. (And at the end of this long list of thoughts, I want to apologize for my English, because I know it's not good, but at least I tried.)
EXACLY!! I was always thinking like that about Credence and Grindelwald, but I didn't know how to make those feeling to words. And everything else too in this comment is true. Thank you!
Hey , I think with Credence the goal is to have a bit of asset when it will come to fight Dumbledore , both physically and mentally ( so my theory is that credence will serve as a reminder of Ariana condition to Albus thus weakening him mentally when he'll have to fight grindelwald , I'd love to see a legilimency / occlumency fight between grindelwald and dumbledore where grindelwald tortures albus with the thoughts of him being responsible for the spell that killed ariana )
Cuz Grindelwald represents all the hopes and dreams the suppressed wizards and witches want , a new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love , Grindelwald inspires his people and don't even have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things for a long time already and with his legendary skills, elder wand, obscurous and devoted followers the impossible can be accomplished 😎

He kind of was during his youth, if not more than Grindelwald. The thing is that Horcruxes fucked him up, along with other rituals. Plus J.K set the plot in a way to favour Harry in every possible way...
taking a look back at johhnys grendelwald and the one from the last film which is seems like a old retired man ,the johnny character makes him like a mad wizard with great powers who can explode at anytime
And now tell me how could be FB franchise this good again when this man dissapears? And I don't mean that just Johnny Depp dissapears but Gellert Grindelwald will be gone with him. How could another actor play this? It's impossible to me. Johnny Depp is Grindelwald, it's his job that this character works, that speech, those looks, idea with different-colored eyes, his voice, everything. Someone else clearly couldn't replace him, not in the same role. I simply can not take this filthy act from WB, so I guess I'm not going to see FB 3. Men can be victims, not just women, it's not some kind of privilege.
And there's where you see the main difference between Grindelwald and Voldemort. Tom Riddle was power hungry, tyrant psycho that wanted to dominate the others, he knew that he was a bad guy. Gellert in the other hand sees himself as the one doing the right thing, he's not a hero, but from my perspective, he's a revolutionary, a rebel against the opression that wizards suffered from muggles.
Exactly , he's the answer to our prayers and dreams not living in a world of oppression and suffocation , with his legendary skills, elder wand and devoted followers the impossible can be accomplished a world full of truth, freedom and love
There are so many reasons why Grindelwald was so much more powerful than voldermort: Voldermort was incapable of love so couldn't use it to his advantage Grindelwald could manipulate people so easily And the only wizard that could of matched his power wasn't able to because of the pact
True, that's the thing about Grindelwald he didn't have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling deeply about these things , he was just the only one bold enough to speak out about it and people just wanted a leader who can accomplish this new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love
Id argue that hes not more powerful, or its at least extremely close. He was more dangerous though, and a much wrose villain to fight for the reasons to listed. His ideas also aren't insane (well they are), but they aren';t just a blatant lust for power. His ideas are things that other wizards can sympathize with.

If you were a suppressed people you would want a leader like Grindelwald who with his legendary skills and elder wand that can promise and fullfil this new beautiful world full of truth, freedom and love , even right now in real life the world needs someone to save us
I am late but I am still going to say this:
Voldemort was a brilliant villain, but I still think Grindlewald is PERFECT.
Most stylish villain ever!
Grindelwald: Aurors, join me in this circle.
Me, before he finshed the sentence: I'm in!
Me also lol
I like how with most tributes that use this song, the character is obviously using their inner darkness, but with Grindlewald, it’s just him casually walking and calmly talking
The way he smirks at the end when the line "who is in control?" plays really had me.
Johnny Depp is our Grindelwald!

Unfortunately Johnny isn't the Grindelwald anymore 😢 but in our Potterheads hearts he will always be the best Grindelwald
Probably, thst figure will lose importance also, the plot may be going on to the boy.
Mads did beautifully and with the full support of Mr. Depp who respects him immensely as an actor.
He does not trust anyone so that's why he made that circle to make sure that only his "loyal" followers join him for his cause. I think there is place only for Dumbledore in his heart.
Epic tribute to the greatest Wizarding World villain, Grindelwald ROCKS!
Perhaps he didn't escape due to his atonement
That's the thing about Grindelwald he didn't have to manipulate people cuz they were already thinking and feeling these things deeply already he was the only one bold enough to speak out about
I love the power and control (sorry cliche) that Grindelwald shows in this edit, it really makes him stand out. Also Johnny Depp was just the best.
I love Grindelwald more than No-Nose Voldy
even i don’t see him as evil.
Grindelwald is amazing!!
just beautiful.
Johnny is our Grindelwald.... No one can replace him...
This boi is the reason why I love Fantastic Beasts :
Grindelwald is a very inspiring and empowering figure
Johnny Depp absolutely murdered this role!!!! He’s a beast!!!!! 💯❤️🔥🔥
i just love characters that can be held at gunpoint and smile into the gun knowing they wont be killed
Why do i find this both fitting, and kinda funny?
Gellert Grindelwald is such a better villain then Voldemort, even in the books.
It’s his cool demeanour, his will and ease to wield powerful magics that go hand in and with his signature manipulative skill, rivalled only by Dumbeldore later on in his life.
In contrast Voldemort is an angry sheet of paper without a nose who was defeated by a 15 month old child, and he periodically throws temper tantrums.
This song matches Grindelwald so much.
It does fit Grindelwald perfectly lol
I have realised that both Dumbledore *and* Grindlewald had avoided each other in the battle. Guess they do remember the bond/love between them.
Or maybe they jsut didnt knwo how to destroy the blood pact they made-
Perfectoooo 😍😍😍 control
thank youu!=)
And that's why we need Johnny Depp as Grindelwald
i think all agree that Grindelwald is the best villian.
Amazing! 😍

I still can't believe I will never gonna see this actor as this character. If next movie come out I'm not gonna watch that. I just can't...
Ahhh!! I love that it ends with him smiling that knowing smile!! Amazing job!
Gellert and Albus have so many similarities it funny. I dont know if this is because they were best friends in the past but they play the game in such a similar way. I mean even years later these guys have the same tricks.
Dumbledore does it moments:
0:51 - This is totally like how dumbledore waits for harry to the mirror of erised. Choose a child of prophecy.
1:12 - Dumbledore does this with draco on the astronomy tower.
1:24 & 2:24 - Dumbledore likes those big reveals (ie: Horcrux, prophecies, and memories)
2:48: This mans got his own order of the phoenix known as reapers.
3:30: Remember when Dumbledore casted firestorm?
That man can control me anytime he wants!
Coming back to this masterpiece cause of the news: he ain't grindelwald anymore... QAQ brb gonna rewatch this a million times and also ur other vids cause i'm bawling y E P
If the Oscar was fair, Dep would have already received it, at least for this role.
Imagine how powerful Grindelwald and Dumbledore would be together, either good or bad...
I would love to see a them together fighting for their aims.
Together they could easily rule the whole world...
Please don't give me ideas. ;)
That will be the defining trait of his character, his relationship with Credence.

His eyes...🖤🤤
Imagine if Voldemort were as manipulative as Grindelwald.
Everybody's fucked, then.
He kind of was during his youth, if not more than Grindelwald. The thing is that Horcruxes fucked him up, along with other rituals. Plus J.K set the plot in a way to favour Harry in every possible way...
If he was than he would probably be ruling the world and not ya know dead.
@@witchluisamultifandom1212 I dont think I couldve said it better
But yeah, grindelwald was persuasive but Voldemort only ruled by fear
It's so amazing!😻
taking a look back at johhnys grendelwald and the one from the last film which is seems like a old retired man ,the johnny character makes him like a mad wizard with great powers who can explode at anytime
When he set fire on the stage its my favourite scene
That smirk in the end 😏
1:05 queenie probably still posed zero threat to him, even with a wand pointed point-blank at his heart
Clearly my ✨FAVOURITE ✨ character on Harry potter series
There are so many reasons why Grindelwald was so much more powerful than voldermort:
Voldermort was incapable of love so couldn't use it to his advantage
Grindelwald could manipulate people so easily
And the only wizard that could of matched his power wasn't able to because of the pact
Best video
The dialogue also add a special effect to the song
He looks good🔥
This song fits him so well!

Grindelwald can be manipulative in a bad way but he can give you anything you desire and make it come true, his words can speak bad but true, remains true
Why do you think Grindelwald will always be better villian than Voldemort?
Me(Dumbledore): "Oh, we were closer than brothers"
He knew the value of the biggest power LOVE
I liked the smile at the end 😂💙
I think that scene where he and his followers kill a little child in a bedroom is kind of a reference to Voldemort and Harry
One of the differences between Grindelwald and Voldemort: Grindelwald didn't want to kill the child himself. Perhaps he understands how terrible this is.
@@frimaire. well here is what I think, he wanted rid of muggles and dint want to do that himself, hut he might have thought his way of it was justifiable and not cruel, he struggled with right and wrong
