SAREK NATIONAL PARK - Basstavágge, Ähpár and a nameless valley (English subtitles)

Filmed 21-26 August 2022. The film describes a trek from Rinim at the western end of Sijddojávrre to Suorva. The first day trekking to Lulep Basstajåhkå east of the mouth of Basstavágge. The following day, ascent of Nammásh. Good overview of the surroundings in all directions and the delta where Sijddoädno flows into Sijddojávrre. Continuation through Basstavágge. At the pass point of the valley a trek up to Lulep Basstajiegna and then on along the north side of Basstavágge to the mouth of the winding ravine south of Bierikbákte which is a common route up to the crest of the Nila. The next day up through the gorge to the place with a wide view of Bielavallda and then up to the pass between Bierikbákte and Nilas kam at 1548 meters. Fantastic view towards Bierikjiegna and surrounding mountains. There was not enough time to go up to the top of Nilas kam. The following day trekking east of Bierikjávrre and through the pass between Bierikbákte and Bierikvárásj to the abandoned magnesite quarry on the north side of Ähpár. The following day, day trip up towards Favoritplatån to get an overview of the area around Ähpárjiegna and Ruopsokjiegna, where Norra Ähpárkammen impresses with its height between the glaciers. In the morning the next day fording of the 50-meter-wide stream at Vuojnesskájdde and then continuing along the usual route to Suorva south of Niendotjåhkkå and along Njavvebuollda to Njavvejågåsj which this time was forded without difficulty where it branches into two furrows at the 850-meter level.
