Unbelievable! The cold, the strong winds, the polar bear visit and success comes from your positive attitude, mental resilience and lots of hard work. Thank you for making my day so exciting and full of possibilities :)
Truly amazing Sarek Expedition you, and your wife Henrietta together with your friend Kimmo did! Showing the famous Finnish 💪💪💪 "sisu" 👏👍👏when it is at the best! Some winds you experienced! And such a skilful skiing you did together with the navigation in snow, stormy, windy and foggy weather conditions! I take my hat off for you all! Very fine footage also in these conditions! Thank you so much for taking time to write so nice comment for us! 🙏 You really put smile on my face and happy warm feeling when I got to read it! 🥰 Also happy to hear you liked the video! It gives me motivation to shoot another one when we are heading to Sarek next time! All the best!
Crazy how much drifting snow around the tent.. Too bad about the hole in the tent cloth, but Helsport is very service oriented. I'm guessing they fix the tent for free. I suffered a little with you when you had to dig out the tents after the storm. It can be really hard. Very beautiful footage around 30 minutes into the film. Lucky you found the drone after it crashed. Eight days to finally see the mountains. Really recognize the feeling that all the hard work is worth it😍 Do you recommend the summit tour Ruohtestjåhkå? I say hello back to my newfound friends 39:40. And I really agree every time that the cold is easier to deal with than the wind. I actually went looking for you when he said in the kiosk that you were going to winter swim, but I found you too late😅 Has to be the best way to end a tour. Say hello to the others that it was a lot of fun meeting you out there in the wilderness.

Very nice scenery from the top! Nice and easy mountain to climb! Too bad you were bit late from our sauna and ice swimming session! Next time you need to come and test our sauna tent with us! Greetings from all of us!

Hieno video ja reissu! Oltiin 2-3vk myöhemmin osin samoilla reiteillä, kun kierrettiin Sarekin massiivi. Keli koko ajan sama mitä teidän reissun loppupäivinä. 🌞🥶Komppaus myös keitinongelmille.. 🙄 Hienoa hommaa!

Thank you! Happy you liked our video! I just checked your Crossing Sarek Nähdään pian! video 😍 So beautiful video shots on Sarek landscape! Well done! Need to check your other videos too! So many amazing places!
@ Kristian, thank you very much for the praise! Yes, the Scandinavian North is really something special. Unfortunately I don't understand Finnish, but the comments during the tour are one of the highlights in your video. For a Central European, the ice bath in the lake and the thickness of the ice were also very impressive. And of course the tent sauna at the end! Greetings Udo
Quite interesting. I looked up the rules and you need a special approval for drone shots. Also noticed that dogs are allow only from January to April. To me that is weird.
@ first time I saw a map of Sarek, I thought "why don't they show the roads ?". I've never been, it's on the list (in summer!!!)

Itse aina tykännyt ottaa pussin jossa reilusti pelivaraa.
really inspiring and well filmed documentary! I was wondering if you were using vapor barrier liners (vbl´s) in your sleeping bag or if the degradation from moisture was acceptable. Few weeks ago i was hinking through the swedish winter and just a few nights in -15°C condition was enough to get my sleeping bag so clammy that i switched to my backup system.
Thank you! Happy to hear! Yes we used vbl's on top of our sleeping bags but still moisture was bit of a problem. We needed to use boiling hot water botles to dry our sleeping bags almost every day.
Great video. Thank you very much. How does Henrietta cope with a rope pulling the sled? Are you satisfied with or would you prefer a shaft next time?
Thank you so much! As you saw in the video we sure had some problems with the sled, but we were still quite happy with the rope pulling system. But keep in mind we have never tried shaft system in the sled so we have no reference if its better :D On next trip we will go with rope again but maybe take 3 sleds so we can pack them lower.
@ Ah, I see, it's only Kimmo who is using a shaft system. I mounted a diy one on my Paris and it kicked me out in a descent. Broke my shoulder. So next time I will use an original shaft system from Fjellpulken just in case. Already delivered and mounted.😊 Watching your video makes me want to go out again soon.👍

Wow i find it crazy you were sleeping only in a minus 9 sleeping bag in those temps. Gresr adventure though. Anders will be proud 🤣. How did you get on with the exped dura down mattress? Feel any cold from the ground? I know with those air mats you need to spread the down out every night by shaking it. Lookijg forward to your next trip!

That was tough adventure. What camera did you use for filming? And where did you keep all the batteries and powerbanks, in the pockets of the jacket or just in the sled? Thanks, keep it up!
Thank you! We used Canon EOS M6 mark II as a main camera with 3 batteries, 1 in the camera and 2 in the warm pocket. As a secondary camera we used gopro 8 and mobile phones. We sure had problems with cold and thats why we could not capture everything we would have wanted to show.
Varmasti mahtava reissu! Tekninen kysymys, kuinka paljon poltto-ainetta kului reissun aikana?
Kiitos kovasti!
Kiitos videosta!
Kiitos!
Good on you a great trip. You need to get used to bringing far, far less equipment, use lightweight drybags instead of plastic boxes and pack the pulk with less and lower to stop it from flipping. Bring ear plugs and practice meditation, build your snow walls closer to the tent, and carry a waist pack instead of a rucksack, this is too tiring.
Exciting, I'm just about to sit down in front of my big TV and watch your adventure and relive Sarek :))
