- In this video I install a custom coil bracket to mount my individual coils in a better location.

Good stuff and thanks for showing the idea for the bracket for the coil mounts. Do you still have power steering and what bracket did you use for the alternator? I like the plumbing layout for the fmic.
I have power steering, I am using the stock alternator just unbolted the top bolt and flopped it over. Has been fine for years like this. The FMIC kit is from Stinger-Performance.
I just bought a 2.3 coupe. This build has been an inspiration-I’m used to having GT’s, so was obviously thinking up swaps. This has changed my mind entirely. Any chance you have this plan still? I love this set up and would love to go co I less like this.
Thanks! These 2.3’s have a lot of potential thanks to vendors that still support them like Stinger Performance and Bo Port. Pretty sure I still have CAD files for this bracket, I’ll see if I can find them. The clearance around the IAC is very tight though so it might have to be modified to fit different setups. Although if you run a 120deg rotated intake instead of the 90deg like I have you would have tons of room. If you don't feel like messing with the CAD files I can just re-order the bracket I made through Send-Cut-Send and ship it to you for whatever the bracket costs.
What alternator bracket setup are you using? Just noticed you have a 90° ported upper intake, but the alternator sits high and outside of it. Seems like a nicer option than going the 120° upper rotation.
Stock turbo coupe bracket. Removed top alternator bolt and just rotated alternator over. Has worked fine for last 10 years.
@@e-dod is it literarily just cranked down tightly in the rotation bolt? No other mounting point to keep it in place? That’s a super clean way to run a 90° intake with the stock alternator bracket
Nice job on the bracket. Have you considered having these produced by SendCutSend? I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Thanks Miles! I did consider it but the tolerances are incredibly tight on it so depending on the fuel pressure regulator, IAC, intake position, coil type, etc it probably won't fit.
Are you still using the PCV canister down by the distributor?
I am. If I ever do an engine rebuild I will probably remove it and tap the block for a fitting though.
Hi friend what intercooler kit are u running on the fox
Hey man, I am running the Stinger Performance kit.
What do u recommend for motor mounts for my swap
I have been using my stock 2.3 motor mounts and its been fine. I don't think there is any aftermarket options anymore.
