Mine does not because I only have a catback exhaust. I believe you can replace anything from the midpipes back without getting a light, but as soon as you get a downpipe it will come on.
You don’t need to cut anything to get the old tips out, they are just bolted in. I needed to cut the existing holes in the diffuser to get the new ones to fit. I used a Dremel to cut my diffuser
