I actually adore the fact you're male and a crafter, especially with this type of crafting, it's refreshing 😊 I love watching you make all these little things :3
I adore your distinct style Alex! I swear, I could pick your pieces out of a lineup any day! These veggies are super cute! I've been wanting to try resin & think I just need yo work up the courage & jump! If anyone sees this, do you have any advice on must have materials for beginners? THANKS! ❤
One thing that can really help dried, cracked and skin flake prone cuticles is using a good cuticle cream. I suggest Burt's Bees lemon butter cuticle cream, it smells good and uses loads of natural ingredients.
I hate to ask but what UV lamp are your using XD I don't think I saw it in your tools video ^^; Asking because currently I'm using the UV Torch from Miniature Sweet but I also have a Lisa Pavelka UV lamp that is meant for UV resin for that brand (just want to know if it will work for almost any UV Resin)
One question: Does this mold maker have a tendency to get air bubbles in it like silicone does??? I'm looking for a liquid mold maker that doesn't get air bubbles, because I don't have one of those vacume pot machines to remove air bubbles from my silicone.
I would be worried that the silicon mold maker would fuse to the silicon mixing cup that you used. Do you have any problems with it? Did you have to clean it out before it cured or did you let it cure in the cup and just peel it out?
I think they would of looked even better it you had textured the clay before you baked it like put the lines in the carrot . That would of made these cuteness overload.
These are all so adorable! I really love the colour of the beet, but I think my favourite is the turnip because of the gradient (which is exactly what you were saying as I was typing this comment lol). Keep up the great work!
I wanted to ask a question, you said to bake the leaves then added them after but did you bake the eyes and the smile as well? Or were the eyes and smile even clay? Many Thanks👍 Also have you made these carrots etcetera in just clay without using resin?
Hanna Stanton trying to find out too. I don't think it's actual resin that he's using for the finish. I think it's a brush on varnish/glaze? Would be nice to know 100% though!
I’ve heard him say it’s a UV resin that he puts on as the final coat. I just don’t know which one. I think it’s diff than reg glaze you would use for polymer clay.. not sure
I kinda don't *carrot* all that I'm late. Sure I didn't *beet* anyone to be first. But I couldn't miss the chance to *turnip* here. I'm here to *veg* out by watching this video!! (Sorry not sorry that I love puns)
These are super cute! Quick question about the mold maker. Would your veggies have come out glossy if you had glazed the polymer clay before making the mold? Love the sheet wax idea!
probably not, the texture that the resin ends up being is probably a result of the material of the mold. The silicone is porous enough that the resin did not come out glossy.
videos I love all your I subscribed to your Channel I post your videos to my friends to show them that so you can get more subscribers because I think your videos are amazing and I love how they're all so crafty because I have to craft too
