Same situation, honestly? Just push. Work your ass off, and also definitely try to use connections. Put in interest to events at your local F1 teams base (I am planning to do work experience at mine) etc. just keep on working, that’s all I can say. Definitely talk to people in you karting place, when you start getting good try to sort out sponsors by chance. For someone whose also started late, a way I see to get into this is connections honestly, just inquiring non stop Doesn’t make much sense but I hope it sorta helps 💗
If you weren't born rich, having a father like Lewis Hamilton's would be your biggest cheat code. If you do not have that, you're more likely to become an F1 driver on the videogame lol It's not impossible but it is a rich man's sport.
Motorsports is different from normal sports you dont have to worry about you age alot of f1 drivers started karting near 18 and they are still racing today dont rush but have hustle
You have to start from 5-13, by 14 u need to have won the championship in that season for formula 4, so honestly if u start at 14 just hope you're lucky
@@toxic99999 I mean I guess like nothing's impossible but formula 1 are now looking for younger and younger drivers for their driver lineups so it's not ideal at all plus it's gonna cost a LOT of money (if he has that he can totally start) and getting sponsored at 18 for karting is gonna be really difficult because they usually look to sponser young talents yk, but if he can manage the money and dominate and get to F2 while still being in his mid-20s he would hv a good chance but I dont think F1 teams are gonna take rookies much more older than 25-27 especially with half the current grid already being "WDC material" (meaning teams won't wanna let them go) and young enough to still be racing for a WHILE + junior talents like Kimi Antonelli waiting to take whatever seats open when some of the older drivers retire. I'm just tryna be realistic but if he is good and has good connections (aka money/sponsors) then he totally can
@@toxic99999 yes they have a chance, it’s not like training in basketball or football or a martial art from 6 years old to adulthood, if you’re smart enough you can learn the knowledge of racing, and gain the skills/ experience needed,

You’re not even old yet to drive lol you’re fine as soon as you’re 16 go get your license and get a stick shift car STICK SHIFT start with low horsepower tho don’t just jump in 350+ horsepower car then work your way up
Next step: get paired with an absolute sweat of a teammate who makes you look bad and risks your seat getting taken by a worse driver who can’t crash in every Q3 and finish on the podium at least once. (Alternate) next step: Don’t be named Nyck De Vries.
Look nothing is impossible but there are things thst are nearly impossible. Besides the fact that you in UA-cam comments shows that it cant mean that much for you
If you are already in 20s it means you already have financial resources. You can join a cheaper race series. Some racer sometimes already race in other race series such as GT and Rally move to single seater race. That what I thought cause I am 17 years old and wanna trying this thing. So Good Luck to you
I’m 16 I can’t stop speeding I get extremely active I’m white line certified I’m ready man my highest speed is 146 and then my govener kicked in but yeah I’m ready I wanna take this to the next level so I don’t die speeding on the streets
Step 1: get rich, scratch that, be rich
Lewis Hamilton said otherwise
Ocon don't comply
