- Hello there! Project Incursus here!
Today we're playing a brutal close range 1v1 map called Gold Trip! This one features some high level opponents, so don't miss it! Check out the map on the Forts Workshop, made by saphirdediams. PS. I know you won the first match Bobereto, but I needed to cut one of the rounds out because of time. GGs!
I love hearing back from your guys about my family friendly videos, what do you like? What criticisms do you have for the video? Leave a comment below and let me hear it!
Your support is always appreciated, a like and subscribe goes a long way to more videos!

Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

that "nooooooo" when you destroyed his plasma laser was hilarious.
the "uggggg" when he did it again was better.
To say bobereto just won the 2v2 tournament with Matteo, he really made great progress.
Indeed
If you are asking yourself what can you do, and your energy is floating, consider putting sandbags on the front of your base. Boberto used sandbags to great effect against your mortars.
Sandbagging allows you to armor up without the significant material costs of using wood, and thereby reduce the amount of time it impedes your teching up.

13:24 Try to get our economy up because I want this game to go a little bit longer ..
22:57 I could have ended this by now, if only I had the economy to support all these rockets !
24:03 Alright, time for shotguns ! (Remaining unfired) lol
0:22 subtle references, a rare gem for this day and age
Great video, I felt like the first match was a good learning experience. Your moves seemed especially calm and calculated and stripped down, doing only exactly what you need in order to effectively defend, to leave the most resources possible to applying pressure and increasing economy in controlled amounts. As a student it was a good example of how to take a match from the mid-game where both players have a good structure built up, to the late game where you had an expanded vantage point and array of weapons. It seemed like the opponent was able to get into mid-game alongside you well, but couldn't keep up with the precise way you spend your resources, which slowly built advantage in your favor. The spy commander is quite useful as a viewer, we get to see exactly how the enemy's base construction differs from yours, to see what to do and not to do. It was interesting to see how little foreground bracing and metal you used, it seemed like exactly enough and not the tiniest bit more, and it helped to solidify for me how important building expansions out of background bracing is. In retrospect it should be obvious, though it seems we see so often people building expansions out of foreground bracing and then having it shot down. Even though I've never played this game, I feel like my grasp on the strategy involved becomes deeper every day because of your videos
The second match was good too, but this comment is already too long. I just have one thing to say
> "I want this game to go a little bit longer"
> immediately goes for rockets
lol
He did say a “little” bit longer. Technically he fulfilled that.
Incursus: *removes armor for core*
Core: Am I a joke to you?
Real men core tank!
"I need another battery"
*places 2*
YoU lIeD tO mE!
So brutal. My turtle tactics wouldn't want to play against you in any RTS.
Turteling is always stupid
Round 2: Shhhhh. Just go to sleep, Bobereto. Don't fight it. Sleeeeeeeep.
Trying to rush laser 2 times against Incursus, only Pyro can use that tactics faster than Incursus can counter :D
But he got nice fighting spirit.
@@Bobereto
You welcome mate :D
Cool map! Would love to see a build with swarm missiles/nukes placed in the left wall pointing straight towards the enemy(not sure if its even possible though). Good games anyway!
Honestly if that worked it would be a scary sight, because y'know how they have a speed boost at the start? Well if they were horizontal, they would get a speed boost which I'm guessing would get them past his base so if flak and machine gunners aimed at the missiles starting positions, they would probably miss
Protip: You need exactly 100 energy/s to keep firing a rocket launcher non-stop. 3 rocket launchers need 300 energy/s.
Knowing this, we can see that further upgrades/expansions of the turbines after 20:20 mark were unnecessary.
not really unnecessary, always good to have more than you need when ahead, excess energy can allow for more weapons or faster upgrading/ defending
Did he realize that machine gun wasn't the one shooting the mortar shots... lmao
11:53 Took him wayyy too long to notice it.
Boberto is back cool
One Alpha strike to end it all, one Alpha strike find them.... wait what were we talking about? :P
This game needs a trampolino wall as build element, reflecting heavy projectiles, given enough space behind..
There is one. I think it's on King's Mod
What about portals? 🤣
@@Zettz00r portals are a mod too
@@Gregory_Swan That was my point:)
@@Gregory_Swan its not a mod its an official dlc
could anyone help me? What are all the Hotkeys he's using?
I know R is for Repair, U for Upgrade
But what is the Selling keys? or why does he begin the construction of a plank to sell or destroy a node?
Does he use a key when building the sniper to not build the door?
The delete key sells things. If you hold Ctrl while placing down a weapon, then it will not build a door.
I always see you do these really quick drag and sells. Is there a hotkey you're holding to do the quick sell?
The delete key
macro on mouse for delete key?
4:55 Why can you suddenly see inside the enemy base?
Is it the commander ability?
Yes it is
Sion press t to activate no need for mouse clicking, also this commander allows you to see enemy resources and what they building
Thanks!
Make a laser in your base that is sealed off then use energy shields in your base to bounce it out and hit the enemy
He already has done that. The video is called precision lasers or something like that.
you mean periscope lasers? done that.
rose are red
lys are white
you said missile are good
and you are right
yo dude, do you have a map of your keybindings? becouse i tried but didnt understand s*it about what was what xD
Gg, it is rare to win with mortars
I’ve never seen that separate resource ticker for his enemy, what is that?
Its the commander, is everyone here stupid?
Big fan of you
I wonder what a 3D forts would be like
even more APM intensive i bet...
I love watching this game, but I don't think I could ever play it. Seems like you can just get stuck in a Paper=Rock-Scissors-esque unwinnable scenario.
Rock, paper, scissors scenario? How so?
@@Incursus Oh like you're teching for a longer term strategy and your opponent rushes missiles, putting you on the back foot. Or you go missiles and they've chosen to go shotgun/flak, that sort of thing. Maybe my perception is all wrong, but watching your videos it seems like either you or your opponent gets quickly into an unwinnable scenario where all you're doing is clinging to life and not making progress. Maybe that's why it's also a team game instead of just 1v1? Now I'm doubting my own perceptions :p
So, I'm a bit late here, but from what I've seen, when that happens, there's a couple of things which happen. The first is sniping. For example, with missile's versus anti Air, if you manage to snipe a few of the enemies flack or machine guns, it becomes a lot easier for your missiles to hit, if they hit the enemy in the anti air or just generally cause a lot of damage, suddenly the enemy is trying to repair whilst also rebuilding AA, with you still sniping, and then you can essentially brute force them with more missile's, more sniping, and flakening them.
The other option is, whilst staying defended and making sure to keep the enemy from murdering your AA or others killing your defenses, you transition into other weapons, such as laser's. Then, when you bring out the new weapons, they probably don't have much defense against it, if you don't outright win, they are scrambling to defend against it, you will still have your old weapons, and there defense's just crumble away. Or they do the same to you.
Eventually it will get to a point where it's whoever figures out the best shot in the right order, but the chance's of that happening is very low, just because the games economy can't support the repair and or firing bills of that much firepower, with a stalemate set of countering Being almost impossible to get and even harder to maintain.
So yeah, there's a bit of rock paper scissors, but because you have to support it there's no chance of it becoming a problem.
@@Santisima_Trinidad Hey thank you for the feedback, even so far removed from my initial comment :) I definitely think I oversimplified, a little more exposure to the game and I feel like adapting is both viable and important.
whats the hotkey for auto doors?
big quastion, i got some money and think about buying forts should i?
Yes you should.
KingBenjai Reser i'm pretty sure iv'e never seen incursus lose
you must be good
@@Bobereto oh, that explains why i never see him lose
yes .. his sniper have pass your metal......glitch
When I first read the title, I thought it said “(Communist 1v1”
do you even wonder how upgraded sniper can shoot through metal? my theory is that the metal is thinner then wood and stuff and the sniper is slightly pushed to the side
BUT HEY ITS JUST A THEORY
A gAmE tEoRy
I wonder if these videos are monetized. I hope so.

This game is extremely monodimensional; the one who rushes weapons out first; wins!
Not really , watch more of it. Icursus countered a rush and won in game 2. Even in game 1 he focused a bit more on economy and upgrades.
You have obviously not watched any significant amount of this game. I would bet you bought the game, lost your early matches, and blamed the game for your failure to git gud.
@@EllipticalReasoning Pretty much, yes. Margin of error and inffeciency is non-existent. Once the shells/rockets start raining on you and you do no have a response, its over. Worse still is the 1 shot kills when the laser cuts the floor beneath you.
2nd to comment XD
