  • Jens Meier's candy manufactory produces sweets in many colors and shapes. From the basic ingredients of sugar, glucose syrup, water and flavoring, up to 45 kilograms of sweets and lollipops are made every week. With a lot of intuition and the right touch, Jens cooks, kneads and shapes the sugar masses to achieve the desired outcome.
Jens has been running a small store in Heidelberg's old town for ten years. He pays special attention to the selection of his aromas. The spectrum of his flavors ranges from lemon, cherry or passion fruit, to tomato, cola or baked apple. When making candy, it's all about getting the temeperature right. Jens has to keep a constant eye on it, so that the sugar doesn't turn and the candy dough remains smooth and malleable until the final hardening.
