Thank you! They are most definitely necessary! I would not decorate any events without a contract. I have several videos on this topic. If you want to purchase a copy of the contracts I use with my clients, visit my website: www.yeseventdecor.com/resources.
Hello 👋🏾 my dear. I hope your well & your business is picking up. Great discussion. Thanks. I honestly wanted to do this full time but it didn’t work out. I do balloons 🎈 only if I get an order
Hi there! Although I think your right about tablet skirts I’d say maybe you can do two different pricing. Budget friendly like the first picture you shared with a table in the front and then the second picture can be your more trending upscale customers. 😊 just an idea.
It’s actually more expensive to decorate a dessert table than to use the pedestals with cake and cupcake stands. So, that’s not really budget friendly ☺️. I don’t get any clients that ask for that though. It’s been years since I received a request for that… But thanks for this comment! You just gave me an idea for a video. ☺️
Thank you for another helpful video! My liability insurance recategorized me as a party store but I tried to explain how I decorate other locations with balloons. Do you have a company you recommend and how do they classify your business….a rental company? A party store ? A decorator? Thank you again!
I have a question. When you were starting up, how long did it take you to land a client? Also, do you have any recommendations regarding practicing & making my portfolio? I'll be doing different set ups at home, but I'm not sure if it's okay to use the same area - it'll be pretty obvious as there is a specific wall space. I'm looking to put up my first balloon garland this Wednesday (an at home DIY practice design) and after watching your other videos, I'll be reusing these balloons for practice.
I know that the question wasnt for me, I dont mean to pry, but hopefully help.. What I did was volunteer for a couple of events, so that I could take pictures for my portfolio and showcase my talent. Maybe friends, neighbors, coworkers, or family. People would come to the event, and ask who decorated, or if I had I had an instgram. I also used my families homes to set up, and take pictures so that the space is not the same.
@@TH-vq5me Thanks for the response. I did some setups at home this week, I'll be sending to friends and family so they can have me as their go to gal and then see how it goes from there. Trying to build some stuff to get enough content for my IG
I get stuff according to my children birthday parties and photo theme and my practice theme. So far my main colors i gradually know im going to do practice theme on them is baby pink white fuschia black yellow red royal blue gray some green red that includes during the seasons for my children photo theme spring and fall as well as my kids birthday day parties i chooses theme according to those vibrant colors.. the only thing i can grab now is table lien and table runners seat cover chair shasa for practice.. im focus on using backdrop stand not the chaiah stand. All backdrops i have im going to do practice theme and i have used for my kids parties. I can say i feel I used morals and values. Because im doing party favor chip bags caprisun sun label and gift bags I have thrift so much stuff to build with centerpieces that can be used on a table i have a decent backyard to do table set up and backdrop together.. right now i just want to practice build because im seeing people in a hurry on social media aint focus on content just quick money it wont end well..
This has been a great help. I'm looking to start a rental business late summer. Those trends will get us every time😊. Some leave and come back. I enjoy decorating however it's not something I enjoy all the time. So I'm looking to assist others who love to decorate but don't have the desire to have a lot of inventory to do so. Thanks for all you share, it's very helpful 💕.
That’s a good point! Sometimes the trends do come back. If you need an event rental contract, I have a template available on my website. Here’s the link - www.yeseventdecor.com/resources/p/event-rental-contract.
OMG you were in my head on number 2. I was always ordering backdrops, curtains and balloons from watching UA-cam decorators. I decided just this year to stop doing that. It is so expensive to store all this. TFS
The inventory part😢 really learnt that one the hard way!
Yup! I have learned many hard lessons ☺️
Great tips! How do you feel about contracts, are they necessary? Thank you for the content!

Are you asking if I have an insurance company to recommend? If so, send me an email. I can send you my agent’s information to see if he can help you.
How can I book an appointment to assist with pricing. I love your videos. You’re always very informative

My client wants me to fill out a w2 to receive payment as their decorating vendor. Have you had to complete one for an event?
Sorry I meant w9
