I thought it was perfect before the strippdown.. A few minor tweaks/upgrades and it would be a great daily rider.. Wish I could fnd gems like these regularly here in FL. But, I already have too many bikes.
Very cool find and an absolute bargain for what you paid. Some nice little bits on the bike. The Mr. Crud chain guide is epic, I had one back in the day. I had it on a mk1 orange missile. I would save the forks for a different build and not put them on the kona👍 cool video
The bar ends look like xlite stubbys they probably worth selling as they're quite sort after for 90s builds. 😊 I think every 90s bike had use and Oakley stickers it was like a must. I think it's a claud butler
The rebuild for the Manitou comp is fairly easy and it's such a well made piece. I did one for a Cadex CFM 1 and it looks perfect

I've got a set of those anodised blue Tektro cantis on one of my old bikes and they work great

I thought it was a Marin with those chunky seat stays, right up until it got the drop outs which aren't nearly as nice.
