- This video is my reflection on using and owning the Fuji GFX 50S MKII, it is not a review of the camera, however, I do reflect on the positives and negatives of the camera and 35-70mm "kit" lens.
Please note that at about 5:01 I mention "streetscapes" while shooting at ISO 6400 and 12,800. I meant to say "nightscapes" I apologize for any confusion.
Hi John, I truly enjoyed your reviewing of the Fuji GFX 50sii it was heartfelt. And your images are breathtaking.
And I believe you when you say the proof is in the pudding, and it was.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your comments!
John could you do this for Nikon ?? Like your knowledge and cannot afford high priced lenses .. Have Nikon Z7ii & D800 .. J5, J4, J3, many J1 mirrorless cameras .. Always looking to learn .. Thanks for educating me !!!
Thank you for following. I'm afraid I have not got much direct experience with Nikon--just through students.
John what is the crop factor for the meduim format camera. For example your new E-M1X has a crop factor of 2X. The medium format them must be less than a Crop Factor of less than 1.0/ Is that correct ?
James--that is correct. It is .8x
X 0.79 🙂
Hi, I think your points of view for camera and lens were very interesting to listen to, I also have Fujifilm GFX 50S II and kit lens 35-70 and for me it made a difference when I went from full format to medium format. Very exciting how the new gf 20-35 lens will be received and what price it will be, best regards Tormod
Yes--can't wait for the 20-35--glad they finally released it!
Excelent Reflections, Thanks John
What bracket did you buy for the 50s II?
Hey Eric--sorry just saw this, I was on the road. I bought the Kirk L bracket. Works very nicely.
I agree with everything you said! If you know your path, it makes using this camera so much easier!
Thanks Matt--the right tool for the job. If you use the right tool it makes the job easier and you aren't trying to use a tool for something it wasn't designed for!
My gear 50r- 45mm-50mm-63mm-80mm-110mm. I just found gfx 50s ii very cheep !
Nice set up! I just bought the 20-35 and I like that perspective for landscape work.
quick observation, I think you should try to remember not should your videos in auto white balance, color keeps changing during your whole video. just saying in case you care about it. great video, I just got this camera too and it is great.
Pablo--thank you for pointing this out. I shot this with my iPhone 11 and I don't believe that camera had the option to turn off the auto white balance. I've since upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro Max and understand it has that capability with the latest operating system. I'll be making that change. Thanks.
Enjoyed your video.
Thanks Sam!
