yeah i managed to beat the final boss with out it my first time but was definietly a little rage inducing. Definetely makes it alot easier maybe he will go back and get it before then using the stage select map. Ever since i always get it but my first run i didnt.
Someone should warn him about the slide at the end.

Dang, he missed two powerups, I forgot what the sonic one was but I know it was in green forest, and also the air necklace
There's a very simple reason as to why animals started coming out of the robots again. All the robots you were facing up to that point were G.U.N.'s robots. They were powered by Chaos Drives (the colored tubes). Eggman's robots, however, are powered by animals, and have more wacky designs than G.U.N.'s robots. You were storming Eggman's base, so you were coming across HIS robots.

@@Sleengo And it's been that way since Sonic 1. Eggman's robots are powered by animals trapped inside of them. (Although, I think this is the last game that adheres to that fact for a while. I guess after this game, Eggman just starts powering his robots a different way.)
@superplushroompower-up In Heroes, they're powered by Power Cores, Light Cores in 06, Wisps in Colors, and seeds in CD. For every other game, it's assumed he uses animals even if they're not seen

25:30 you’re gonna want to try to brave it through that section cause the air necklace is at the end of it, which lets Knuckles breathe underwater.
And no it is not a “Sonic section”, characters don’t share levels in SA2.
Before you start the Last Story, you should look up where the Air Necklace is or otherwise explore Aquatic Mine until you find it
The Knuckles part of Last Story is quite hard otherwise since there's a lot of water

And one more thing about the ghosts in pyramid cave they're probably spirits that Eggman angerd because he took over the pyramid and plastered his face on everything
Some info on the Chao (apologies if you already know some of this stuff)
-Depending on if you take care of it with hero characters or dark characters, a chao will ever become hero or dark or neutral if it was a perfect balance or you didn’t take care of them at all. Petting influences your chao’s alignment the most.
-When your chao picks an alignment and evolves, you’ll unlock a new garden. There’s a hero garden and dark garden
-Go into the hole under the waterfall to do chao racing, karate, or other activities. That’s what the stats are for
-If you want to go to kindergarten with a chao, carry them into the lobby then into kindergarten
-In kindergarten chaos can learn different skills. Instruments, drawing, etc. this will affect some of their actions. And if your chaos both know a music base skilled they can play together in a band
Don’t forget that If you want to leave the garden without quitting back to the game, you got to select the Garden through the stage selection screen.

Hii, in the part where you died at Aquatic Mine 25:10. You were going the right path, you just need to go up before the air runs out. At the surface there’ll be a water breather thingie that you’ll use later in the game (final part of the game) hehe. You must take it, trust me. You’ll need it later on, believe me.

I played both SA 1 and SA 2 for the first time a couple of mouths ago.
I wanted to kill myself.
I'm saying this so just you know as new player, you might get extremely frustrated.
8:10 is a perfect example of why the Dreamcast cutscenes are better, since they made the screen wider but didn't bother to remake the cutscene, you can see Shadow stop at the end of the screen since it's wider, it doesn't look like he just zoomed off.
23:30 some stages have upgrades or secret upgrades that aren't necessary but help to make the game easier, or might become necessary for 100% and Knuckle's is one of the better ones to get for a casual playthrough. In some stages you might notice weird areas (Like that cell at the end of Tails first level in part one) and those are usual for you to revisit if you have an upgrade.
25:30 In this one every character has their own levels so no different sections for different characters, if I remember correctly, this is actually where that upgrade is.
Last thing, I promise this is valuable information, in Route 101 you started turning better and the way to do that is to sorta let go of the drive button and press it again in you'll be able to make turns easier.
I have good news and bad news for you, Sleengo:
Bad news is you are going to experience one of the most frustrating levels in the game, personally speaking😅
Good news is you get to listen to one of the best tracks in the game, objectively speaking🤩

Tbh all the final levels are pretty hard but they're definitely my favorite, especially the final stages of Hero and Dark story

@@emperortoho It's actually my favorite video game level of all time, it's so fun, most people hate it since the game does a sorta poor job of teaching you how to grind but if you can get it then it's actually one of the best levels in the game.
You can make a sonic or shadow choa! Its a super cool add to the game, isn't important for main game but their so cute
Chao in Sonic Adventure 2 are very fun to look after however with care, increase their stats and make them do chao karate and other things. You can get more Chao eggs in the Black market behind the waterfall in the Chao Garden
Black market is in the kindergarten, not in the waterfall
You have another full video of the Hero Story left after this man. Also, literally every single level has an upgrade hidden in it, some you just can't get until you get certain other upgrades. You can legit make a list of the upgrades you've found, and in which levels they were in, and go back later to find everything if you want. There's a lot to these levels, plus getting stuff from enemies to raise chao. The gameplay loop in Adventure 2 is actually fantastic

fun fact: I've never quite finished SA2 as a little kid because I was always getting jumpscared by the ghosts... even now I tried Pyramid Cave mission 5 and I was getting jumpscared by some random ghosts lol.

A little advice...
You might wanna go back to that part you called a "Sonic Section" in Aquatic Mine before the last part of the game. If not, you'll have a lot of trouble. Just keep pressing A rhythmically and you should be able to make it up that long water spout.
Good job on getting an A rank on Green Forest. Though do replay the Auquatic Mine stage, because there is an Air Necklase power up in that stage. It's SUPER important to get that power up especially before you unlock the Last Story or else the stage in that part of SA2 will be able to easily give you more frustrating Game Overs from drowning when you play in his part of it! So just go back to where you previously drowned in Aquatic Mine but more quickly this time so that you can have a better chance to make it to the top of that area then you'll be given the power up. That one can help you to permanently be able to breath underwater, so you'll never drown again in this game as Knuckles if you get that power up for him. So do it if you want to avoid the risk of drowning while playing as him.
all the city levels in sa2 are based on san francisco, that's where sonic team were based when they made sa2

Bro you Need to go to level select and go back to the aquatic mines. There's a power up that you ALMOST got. Like right before you drowned you were like 2 seconds too short. Go back there and get the necklace power up. It'll make things way easier in the future
in aquatic mine,you missed an upgrade,it's about where you drowned,without it,you can't beat the game because it's mandatory (or maybe it's possible but i never managed to do it,even after playing sonic games all of my life)
The city stages in this game are in Central City, the capital of the United Federation. In SA2, Central City is based on San Francisco, but this inspiration is dropped in future games
Yo sleengo, see that "sonic section" isn't a sonic section cuz if you went up fast enough you could've gotten an upgrade that will make you breathe underwater, believe me you WILL need it , you can go back to the stage from the stafe select tho

You can find a powerup in every stage in this game. Maybe trying to find out where they are could be helpful. (Or search for it in the internet, Sonic games are very nicely documented). You can replay every Stage over and over again, when you completed them in story mode and collected items will count in story mode too, if you got them over level select

Sir you are -maybe- halfway through the Hero Story at this point. Sonic Adventure 2 is kinda the beginning of Sonic games having longer singular storylines rather than something like SA1. Definitely not like Sonic Adventure where you could get each story done in an episode lol.
This'll be the case for just about every mainline game going forward. Very long games with long storylines that'll take a while to get through. There's some exceptions (Sonic Generations and, of course, the Sonic Riders games come to mind), but most of them are decently long.

After this game you should play sonic advance and advance 2 before playing sonic heroes

Question: when you get to Generations, will you play the original, or the remaster with Shadow's story (Sonic X Shadow Generations)
Just in case you want to know, chao need 100 stat points for them to do basis stuff. Stat points and levels are not the same thing
For example for a chso to walk they need 100 stat points in running. You can see the stat points in the level menue when ypu pick up a chao. Its ont the right side of the menu.

sonic superstars is definitely a mainline game, it just takes place in the classic timeline (just like mania)
And you are nowhere near the end of the Hero story. It takes a minimum of one more episode definitely.

i think what happened is that getting a game over reset the level so it treated it like you beat the level on the first try
I can confirm that Sonic Superstars is a mainline Sonic game. It just takes place in sonics past, or "the classic Era." Also, for the newer modern games, will you play the DLC? For example, shadows' story in Sonic forces.

@@Sleengo That game's progression and completion works a little differently than every game before it. A choose your own route game with most endings being non-canon "what if" scenarios. But you have to obtain all those endings to unlock the canon ending, the true ending. Worth it to do, the canon ending is dope, but it's tedious, and a lot of it will be the same stuff over and over again that can probably be done off camera.
Since the pyramid is one of Eggmans bases, the robots that look like Gamma are actually robots of the same series as Gamma, just now mass produced by Eggman

The chao is crying because you jumped on him before.
They have complicated personality system, they are able to fear or love you, you can hurt them, and they can die.
Be careful!
If you want to take them to school, you need to select the Chao Garden through Stage Select menu.
Also you will unlock Hero Garden and Dark Garden, if you make hero and dark chaos.
To do that, you need to feed them Hero/Dark fruits from the Black Market. Also, interactions with characters from hero/dark campaign can affect chao as well.
When you give items to the chao, you could focus on the specific skills. There will be a moment when chao will evolve, and their type is defined by their skills.
Skills aren't just numbers, the chao will get an actual new abilities if the level will be high enough.
By the way, the other way to hatch the egg is to rocking it in arms. As I remember, you need to press action button to take it and try to run while continue to hold the button without releasing.
You also can do the same with the palms to get fruits
By the way, the reason behind the "Adventure 1 moment" is just because you didn't fought Eggman before.
