Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) presents a romantic music video for OST of MAVKA. THE FOREST SONG performed by prominent Ukrainian singers Artem Pyvovarov and Khrystyna Soloviy. The local release is set for March 2, 2023.

No, this is not Disney - a Ukrainian studio. This is a cartoon about Mavka. In Ukrainian mythology, this is a forest spirit, something like a dryad. The cartoon is based on the play "Forest Song" by the classic Ukrainian writer - Lesia Ukrainka. This is a love story between a village boy and a forest dryad.
It seems to me that the cartoon should have been released earlier, but because of the war, the premiere was postponed.

It isn't Disney. It's Ukrainian production.. Based on the story "Forest song" by Lesya Ukrainka. Mavka it's forest creature in ukrainian mythology. There is a web site "mavka" but I just can't share the link😅

This is a Ukrainian film. In the Ukrainian version of this film, Artem voices the main character Lukash. This film will be shown in cinemas in many countries in different languages. There will also be an English translation. Artem and Khrystyna also recorded this song in English.☺️

I have a copy in English and French. The animation highlights the weakness of the English language voice acting and the French soundtrack highlights the weakness of the Ukrainian animation.
For their first international effort they did well, but they still need to grow. I see a lot of promise.
I wish the American edition had included the Ukrainian soundtrack.

Thank you for your warm heart. Thank you for noticing that Mavka is something for Ukrainian children. In Ukraine, the 5-year-old girl says to her mom "I am afraid to die without you". While being in the kindergarten shelter during the air alarm preschoolers ask to take them to their mommies, saying "I do not want to die without mom". I Hope magic Mavka will distract kids from those thoughts, at least for some time.
As far as I know, more than 20 countries have bought the right to distribute the cartoon. But a month ago, when I saw this information, Britain was not on this list. Maybe something has changed since then. Here, in Ukraine, the cartoon will be released in cinemas on March 2.
By the way, Dakha Braha worked on the soundtrack for the cartoon. Their animated characters are even present in the film. 7:54
of course Dakhabraka would have their hands on it, it wouldn't be a forest song without them
This spring, the movie comes to the big screens across the world, including the US and English-speaking Canada. Domestic theatrical release is set for March 2, 2023.
