Not perfect, yet very expressive. I enjoyed it !
So, it’s hard to play on bass too. I find the best approach is to play it as similarly to a violoncellist as one can, with a similar scale length and stings tuned the same way. That affords playing it with similar fingering as a ‘cellist would. I have a Strat with custom gauge strings tuned in Robt. Fripp’s New Standard (c g d A E G low to high) and it eliminates a lot of the difficulty of playing such music on long-scale instruments tuned in 4ths.
