How about episodes set in the future? What would archeologists in the future find if they dug into the soil we're leaving behind? Answers on a PET Coca Cola bottle.

More archaeology news from the Americas. We know now that civilization, especially on the west coast of South America, is as old as anything in Eurasia.

One of the early proposed digs for the revival were ruins on the Isles of Scilly. Bronze age I believe. Would love to see a TT Dig about that.
Also I am surprised LIDAR isn't more extensively used in tracking down sites. At least on screen.

Always lovely to catch up with what the Team has been doing. Follow ups on early TT episodes, current archaeological projects and investigations, plans for the future - everything would be of interest. If you ever have the opportunity to be involved in something that sheds light on early Australian archaeology, that would be great too. Best wishes to you all and compliments of the season.

I've never been very interested in Archeology or British Telé but Time Team has changed them both. Thanks for giving me two more things to obsess over! Wow Also King Hines comes up as a possible decendent when I did a DNA liniage test.

What I really want to see is what happens to the archeological site. Putting back all that dirt and lawn. How do you refill those wholes without damaging the site. How long does it takes. I don't mind watching an episode of 3 days moving that dirt back and covering those wholes. Maybe its just me, but can I watch the part where you put it all back together?

I would like to see a few of the main Team, such as Matt or Helen take on a young apprentice for each episode. Maybe a keen14 year old amateur with a interest in becoming an archaeologist. That way we would get to learn basic archaeology techniques explained, have the enthusiasm of youngsters new to the science and bring up a new team who can carry on the tradition of Time Team into the future. For me it wasnt just the archaeology that i loved but the relationships between the team and their individual characters each having a different opinion and thought process making it almost like part of my extended family for so many years. Its always been like comfort food for me. God bless you all!

Interesting to hear about ongoing digs that TT have been to. But I would also like to see what happens to the digs that don't continue. What goes into restoring the area, and how long it takes. Sounds boring I guess to many, but I often wonder about this at the end of an episode.

Thanks to everybody involved with this content. Happy Christmas and Merry Finds, from NZ
(ps. I walked Cotswold and Peddars Way this year, and found a/ some Roman tile in a ploughed field a few miles from Bath, and b/ an absolutely stunning Neolithic arrow head lying beside the path not far into Peddars Way - I would not have even noticed them but for my Time Team II archaeological education. I walked almost 200 miles with eyes peeled, and s - just one example - sleeping 500 metres from Belas Knap was just wow - cheers!)

I'd like to see an update using Dr. Mike Nevell. He's now the Industrial Heritage Support Officer for all England, and he was in at least half a dozen really interesting Time Teams- Derwentcote, Sheffield, the Boulton Mint in Birmingham, that iron furnace under the pub, and my favorite, the Arkwright mill in Manchester. I know Covid played havoc with most of the industrial sites in northern England- I hope they're still open to the public. But it's hard to know what's happening from over here in the US.

Thanks for these interesting snippets of news. I had forgotten about the link between rams and Mercury. How should the name of the place where the fogou is be pronounced? It sounded different from "Bear" as he introduced it on location than from the presenters in the studio.

Well, technically you own anything that's found on your land, but in practice it's normal to share any proceeds from the find with the finder, without whom you wouldn't have known it was there.
I don't know of any find that's simply been confiscated.
