Listening to this song it’s like dying on the floor with the rain softly falling over, thinking about everything you’ve done and what you haven’t done yet, and that you won’t, but i love this song and it’s my favorite one
Red wine and sleeping pills Help me get back to your arms Cheap sex and sad films Help me get where I belong I think you're crazy, maybe I think you're crazy, maybe Stop sending letters Letters always get burned It's not like the movies They fed us on little white lies I think you're crazy, maybe I think you're crazy, maybe I will see you in the next life Beautiful angel Pulled apart at birth Limbless and helpless I can't even recognize you I think you're crazy, maybe I will see you in the next life
ua-cam.com/video/ZeI0PXj7LIw/v-deo.htmlsi=WBcdKEZe02292hxR (MP being played at a funeral by a brass band, the most heartbreaking and emotional recording of this song I've ever heard by a long shot, I cannot recommend this video enough)
Love this version and the album version, but this just doesn't compare to the album version at all. this feels like just a normal piano ballad, while still an incredibly emotional song. The kid A version has an overwhelmingly dystopian feeling to it that literally makes you feel like the end of something is happening, whatever you may imagine. I think it fits kid A much better, although this demo shows a bit more emotion with the vocals.
I def agree with you although the vocals are astounding it’s not crazy the KID A version feels so majestic and more like the vibe kid a was going for I don’t feel like this would have fit for OK computers vibe it is sad but not ok computer worthy
I strongly disagree, the Angelic theme in kid A version is not to be underestimated. It gives the song inconceivable weight. The last verse here isn't enough to defeat the kid A version. Personally, I come here because Thom's vocals are clearer.
@@AllenMZimPersonally, I'm siding with you on this one. As much as I love the original version, I'm not too much a fan of the abrupt "shimmering" effect he put in the Kid A versiin; I much prefer the effect on the piano in this one because it evokes stronger emotions from me.
I really like the basic piano ballad aspect of the demo, and it sounds better than the Kid A version--but what the Kid A version does thematically is just way better and makes the song so much heavier.
That verse that was cut out was about an aborted child, right? That's what it reads like. Reminds me of Juçara Marçal's "Ciranda do Aborto": "Vem despedaçado / Come out quartered Vem, meu bem querer / Come out, my dear Vem aqui pra fora / Come out here Vem me conhecer / Come meet me"
UA-cam has decided to recommend every instance of MPS, and I cannot complain. This piano is so intriguing

I agree, the wild and beautiful harps really escalate it.
I miss the third verse in the album version though.
This version of the song crushes the Kid A version like a grape.

i like the arrangement of glitchy synths going berserk on Kid A, but this version smack my depression up

two persons had too much wine and sleeping pills
My favorite version of this song❤️
Regardless of favorites, both versions are saddening to the soul
thank you.
