¡Wow! That's incredibly kind of you to say. 😊 It truly warms my heart to hear that my videos are making such a positive impact on your Spanish learning journey. I believe that everyone can learn Spanish with the right approach and support, and I'm so glad that my teaching style resonates with you.
@@TeacherCatalina I’m in college right now and the teachers expect you to pick up the material very quickly. Since I’ve been watching videos I finally understand the material. Thank you so much!
@TeacherCatalina, I am an old dude-learner trying to wrap my brain around Spanish. It is taking some work, but poco a poco... Taking Spanish at Chicago City Colleges to help and you are a great supplement for added clarity. My CCC Profa described six negative informal irregulars, adding estar (estés), saber (sepas) and haber (hayas), plus haber is more complex and maybe a stretch. Are these the only or just all the most common negative informal irregulars? And thanks for being a super explainer!
I feel like you are by far the best teacher on youtube for spanish! I have watched many many others and you explain it so well. I wish you had a video on subjunctive. I can't find one and I searched under Teacher Catalina. Also, subscribed!

Hi Catalina, what do you think is the best way for an adult to learn Spanish? My school can't afford translators for conferences, and it's unfair to the parents who don't speak English. Would love to know what you think?
Hi 👋🏽! I completely relate to this. When I was in high school, my parents didn’t speak English and parent teacher conferences were tough. It generally ended up being me translating the best I could in my little English at the time. There are different online courses you can take, I would love to create one for adults and I love your idea of maybe focusing also on teachers to help them with parent teacher conferences. I have a few friends that have decided to follow different channels to learn different languages. Consistency is the key. When I was in a face to face school I volunteered to help during those conferences and now in virtual colleagues also teach out when translation is needed :). It is such a hard situation if there are no Spanish speakers at your school. Thank you so much for your comment, you’ve sparked lots of ideas for us here.
@@TeacherCatalina Maybe at some point you could do a mini series on teacher tips for bilingual conferences, I think that would be helpful for so many teachers!
Great question. To use reflexive pronouns when using negative informal commands, you will put the reflexive pronoun in front of the verb. For example: No te levantes tarde.
This is just a suggestion. I wish there was more of a focus on vocabulary. It's hard for me to speak to native speakers if I don't understand what they're saying.
Of course Leonard! Suggestions always appreciated. We are working on vocabulary little by little and adding as we go. We have now finished a lot of the grammar lessons for Spanish 1 and we are starting with the vocabulary for Sp1 while continuing on grammar for Spanish 2 topics.
How about the verb that is irregular only at the Yo conjugation like venir:vengo, hacer:hago, poner:pongo. Do they become no vengas, no hagas, and no pongas?
Great question! No fumes with the “s” is a negative INFORMAL (Tú) command. You can say no fume, however, that would be a negative FORMAL (Ud.) command. I would say no fumes to a family member or friend but no fume to someone I don’t know or someone I want to be formal with.
This really helped me for my quiz tomorrow. thank you so much.
I love to hear that! Thank YOU for reviewing, you are going to do awesome on that quiz. Buenas noches. 🌙

Yes! Great job! Fantastic observation. You are correct. That’s exactly how it would work.
I have a assessment tomorrow, so I’m watching this to clarify the concepts……
That’s phenomenal! Hope you did awesome 👏
Why es tho? Why didnt you just add the e without the s???
Great question!

Ok let me try… porfavor, no te involucres en esta situación. Is that correct?
