I still don't quite get the hatred for this pairing because I swear there are a dozen celebrity couples that were far more creepy then This. When both parties are beyond their 20s it doesn't matter. They are grown ass people and should've been treated as such.

As an actress myself, it happens A LOT. Due to the roles you play make it so easy to fall in love with “the characters”, not the real persons. Actors who play “thick and thin partners” in buddy movies can easily fall in love with the illusions of “loyal
partners” in spite of the facts that they both or one of them are lousy lovers.
This kind of love will break after the movie wrap and they go back to “normal lives”.

They met when she was 17 and he was 38 doesn’t mean they fated right away. If he dated her when she hits 18 she was mature enough to make her own choice, conscious or not. So “grooming” can’t be used when the girl is 18.
Grooming is a term usually used related to underage individuals: but it can happen to anyone at any age. It’s a cult like tactic. Gang-stalking & gaslighting, too. It’s all gross & slimy forms of seduction & manipulation rather than intimacy or deep connection based in mutual respect.

The relationship was creepy from the get go, no fault on her at all but EVERY fault with him for going after someone so much younger then him and shame on the people around who didn't say anything. I like Florence but I think she is coming across far to righteous. 'A relationship that everyone is glad is over'. The world does not revolve around you and your partner.
