I still cannot believe she snuck Labyrinth lyrics into it and nobody could have had any idea lol
also the fact that she didn't have anything written down....is so impressive. like ofc, her being a perfectionist I am sure that she tried to say the speech several times before that day, but still...not even note ards or anything

She didn't even stutter once.. she was elegant with her speech through out... 😭
Such a terrific Orator she is. ✨🥺

Great reaction, Jared! I’m glad that she has some song references from her album Red like some lyrics from “22”, and also the easter eggs about Midnights. Such an amazing and meaningful speech 💙

I am 53...definitely middle-aged, and I hear, on a pretty regular basis, people of my generation and older, say things like, "There hasn't been any good music made since the '70s, or the '90s, etc." or "These damn Millennials....." or "These younger generations are so soft and don't know ANYTHING ". Those kinds of sentiments have never resonated with me, in fact, they kind of frustrate me. Those curmudgeons have not had the experiences I have had, and it makes me feel sorry for them that their scope of the world is so stuck and limiting.
In my 30s, when I started hearing things like that, I swore to myself that I would NEVER be so old that I couldn't appreciate new music. I also swore that I would never become so old that I couldn't learn from people younger than me. Twenty some odd years later, I still stand by that.
My playlists are filled with music spanning fifty years, of every genre. I also gain wisdom and perspective from the generations younger than me, everyday. There is brilliance in our evolution.
I appreciated the brilliance in the words I heard from both of you, watching this today. There were much needed reminders about how to live WELL from the young people I heard here.
Jared, I really enjoyed hearing your perspectives and personal thoughts about things here. We usually don't have the opportunity to get to know you better like that in song reactions, and I liked it. Also, have you ever thought about having a career in a teaching capacity sometime down the road? I have gotten teacher vibes from you since the very first reaction I watched, and I think you would be amazing at it!!! Great reaction, as always!!!

wow thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment! And I absolutely agree with everything you said! I was to have the same mindset as you as I get older.
And I honestly have thought about teaching before. I think I would like the college level if I were ever in that situation.
Thanks again, and hope you have a great holiday weekend if you celebrate!
