Just installed mine very happy other then the light output. I changed to leds but still not as bright as my factory housing with leds. Great video did the drl just like you said no issues, thanks thought it was going to be mfer fest but super easy. Update just installed the Hikari “ eye of megatron” leds couldn’t be happier got the brightness back.
Hi, can you tell me where I can get these Hikari eye of Megatron LEDs, and the part number, or a link. I've purchased 2 sets of LED and they don't fit.
amazing video man! you should have had a better thumbnail picture, I scrolled past because it didn't look interesting because of the thumbnail, until I saw the title... other than that its an awesome video and I love your truck!!!!
Yes you only have to remove two bulbs from the original headlights but as for the DRL, it works but to have it work as factory you have to tap into the wires or tap into the fuse in the fuse box.
@@stevenbishop7259 hi Steven, so from what I was told by alpha Rex, the new head light has its own DRL, so basically you can tap it in the fuse box or tap into the original DRL wire harness so you can maintain your factory DRL functions. Even if you don’t tap into anything, the DRL light would still function but it won’t dim with the headlights.
Instead of leaving the DRL connection off from the original harness plug it back in once you connect the wires that are coming out off the DRL port and tuck the wires away.
Yes, sorry I wanted to go into more detail about that but it was getting dark. DRL you either have to tap directly into the fuse box or you can tap the wires coming from the original DRL harass.
Good day. I admire your headlights. Is this the black colour? Have you encountered condensation problems? Some reviewers say they had condensation issues.
Do the 4 way flashers work with the engine shut off? That has been a problem with one model of Alpharex. Do you get flashed by other drivers at night with the low beams on? Thanks for the review. I like the blacked out version like you. My white crewmax will be greatly improved by these.
Do you mean the DLR lights? It does run when you start it up. The stock lights is horrible with these headlights so you probably have to upgrade the bulbs. Even after that it’s not super bright so no issue with other drivers.
I have a 2018 tundra and I’ve connected my wire harness and i ran it to the fuse box but my drls still aren’t turning on i feel like I’m doing something wrong , i plugged all the plugs into there own slots and connected both red wires with the brown wire Also grounded the red and black wires , but still nothing I’m thinking of splicing into the original drl connector but i don’t want to mess anything up , if anyone can help me I’d appreciate it
I need help! I did exactly the way alpha Rex says to connect the drl. I connected to the battery and connected the wires to the brown wires on the new headlights and did the fuse tap that it came with!? Everything turns on except the drl
Hi, I purchased these head and two sets of LED lights that didn't fit. Can you please inform where I can get some LED's that will fit these headlights. Much appreciated.
@@off-roadyotaz5544 Nice. I picked up a set regardless. I also got the same LED bulbs as you. It’s a nice upgrade for my 2012 Rock Warrior. It made it look somewhat new again. Your truck is pretty dope. 👍
Hey I have these installed. The yellow low beams suck curious which led or hid did you install for the almost crystal blue color. Tryna get mine back to how I had my hids that nice bright light blue-ish color
hi the low beam I replaced did not come with a recorder box, although the assembly was pretty big from the replacement bulb but it would still fit in the rubber housing.
@@off-roadyotaz5544 This is my latest Alapharex Pro headlights just like your. I'm pretty happy, my wheels are tires is coming next week. Anyway, nice to chat with you.
These head lights has been solid. I have no complains or any issues with them. Still love the look of the headlights with a black truck. If there is a next time I would love to test out their NOVA series.
Yes for 2014 and up, you have to remove the grill to get to the screw for the headlights. You might be able to work around that single screw but removing the grill wasn't hard.
Hey Philip, the Nova is definitely a better product. The Nova has quad projector design so I would imagine better light output. The pro looks good for a cheaper price if you want to save some money but you have to upgrade the light bulbs to LED.
I got a black sr5 2017 and this is exactly how I want my front end to look it’s beautiful man!

How were you able to change these to LED?
Would you mind sharing the link for the leds

I wish they would have fit but with my duel battery set up, they will not fit. New subscriber here, I love Tundra anything content
I was thinking of doing a dual battery set up, but there isn’t much room under the hood. Thanks for the support!
Great video! Keep it up fellas!

Thanks man. Sorry still trying to figure this UA-cam thing out.
If you have DRL, you can plug all the original connections into the new headlights and everything will work.

Great video brotha. I have the same headlights but haven't installed it yet. Have you figured out how to make the DRL lights amber?
I installed these a few months ago, one of the bulbs started not lighting up.
Has anyone else gotten this problem?
Thanks! I subscribed! 🤜🤛
So help me understand. The red nd black wire that go directly to the battery don't have to go on at all?
Right u can run the red and black wire to the battery but u have to do a fuse tap for the third wire, or you can just tap into the stock harness
Great video, how have the headlights held up? ive heard of the clear coat chipping off after a while..
Great video!
I want to change mines. I need to know about how much do each headlight weight, and the dimentions of the box it came in.
Thanks
My guess maybe 5 pounds each both, and dimension of the two box was probably 3ft long, 3ft wide and 4 ft tall
Looks good man. How's the light output and beam at night?
It’s pretty low stock, but if you add new bulbs it’s better but still not super bright
I install some and it looks great but the light beam at night isn’t the best.
Good day. I admire your headlights. Is this the black colour? Have you encountered condensation problems? Some reviewers say they had condensation issues.
Yes this is the black and I have not had any issues with condensation.
Mine doesn't do the dance when you lock and unlock. Aren't they supposed to? It only does it when you start the truck.
Yes mines only swipe when it starts
Why does nobody care about light output?! What does light output look like?!? Are they better than OEM?? Worse??
It’s worst you have to change the bulbs.
Did you connect the harness to the battery and then did the jumper cable ? Or just ran the harness to the headlight only with the jumper thanks.
Which LED lightbulb are those? The amazon link doesnt work. Thanks in advance 🤙🏼
Right, same here. I need these lights but the link doesn't work. 😪 😕 😫
Did you ever manage to find a link for replacement LED bulbs?

Hey buddy how much was it to black your truck out
I say roughly $500 maybe. The emblems, the door handles, and the mirror cover basically
Was that empty harness to headlight leveler
The empty harness from the truck was for the stock dlr. for the new headlights you have to tap the dlr.
I need help! I did exactly the way alpha Rex says to connect the drl. I connected to the battery and connected the wires to the brown wires on the new headlights and did the fuse tap that it came with!? Everything turns on except the drl
Don’t know if you figured it out but just installed mine and did just like the video no issues
Nice headlights.Where did u get that grill?Merci.
Looks cool I just got mines in the mail.. just to be clear, you can change the hi beam and low beam to LED correct ?
The high beam is preinstalled led, low beam is h7 low beam replaceable bulb
Do you still love them. I wish my alpharex DRL were a lot brighter?
Me too! Mine definitely is not as bright as I was hoping. It’s dimmer than factory and even worse once the parking lights are turned on.
I just couldn't. Went to sparksparts and bought the factory OEM lights. Returning the alpharexs. It is what it is.
Hi, I purchased these head and two sets of LED lights that didn't fit. Can you please inform where I can get some LED's that will fit these headlights. Much appreciated.
Try going with the gtr ultra 2 h7
some ppl say that after 3 months the lenses have water condensation? is that true?
The Hikari LED you linked have external decoder/canbus. Is that what you used?
Were you able to fit the LED ballast inside the housing? I thought you had to have extra wiring for LED bulbs?
This led was only the bulb that goes into the housing. Not sure about others.
got mines! what brand h7 led did you used? does h7 with built-in fans fit in the housing?
I’m looking into picking up a set, but I’ve read a lot of people are getting major condensation issues. Have you noticed the same issues?
No issues so far. But again I also park my truck inside the garage.
@@off-roadyotaz5544 Nice. I picked up a set regardless. I also got the same LED bulbs as you. It’s a nice upgrade for my 2012 Rock Warrior. It made it look somewhat new again. Your truck is pretty dope. 👍
Did your dust cover fit back on the headlights or did you have to trim them after adding the led?
yes it fits, but instead of the rubber cover being concaved, you have to expand it to fit over the new bulbs.
So I'm working with essentially the same light but mine is a 2013. Just hooked up the harness but I have no high beam
I’m having the same issue. Shows the high beam is LED built in but doesn’t turn on for me. Harness is for the DRL strip
Bend the pin a little bit..make it wider a bit to make it fit your Hi beam socket
Had same issue untill I start missing around with it...there wiring set up is not that good at all..all the pin is to loose
Now I only have one problem both of my turn signals is not working at all
Hey I have these installed. The yellow low beams suck curious which led or hid did you install for the almost crystal blue color. Tryna get mine back to how I had my hids that nice bright light blue-ish color
You have a halogan bulb you need led or hid led for that color
the halogen bulbs are just the low beam correct?
Yes
Did your original lights have the led DrL?
Hey bud does your tundra comes with a oem drl?
It does
👍🏽
Hi there, just 1 questions about the low beam. Did you LED low beam come with the decoder box? If it does, how did you fit everything into the cover?
hi the low beam I replaced did not come with a recorder box, although the assembly was pretty big from the replacement bulb but it would still fit in the rubber housing.

You can get them on eBay for $49.99
@stevenbishop7259 , can you share the link please. 🙏
why did you have to remove the grill, is that different than the 2012 tundra?
Yes for 2014 and up, you have to remove the grill to get to the screw for the headlights. You might be able to work around that single screw but removing the grill wasn't hard.
Get the Morimotos XB, you can thank me later.
Might have to try that out for the next set up. Thanks!
Hi . is it fit for sequoia 2010 ??
I don’t see the lights for sequoia but I would double check with alpha Rex
@@off-roadyotaz5544 I wish that if you can . Thanks .
Do you have to tap the red wire on both sides for the DRL to work or just that side you did it on?
Yes you would either tap both sides for each headlights or your can tap in from the fuse box. I figured it would be easier by the headlights.
@@off-roadyotaz5544 donyou care to share which after market bulb you used to get better brightness?
Nice headlights, how are this headlights compared to Alapharex Nova? The Nova is kinda double the price, but the brightest should be the same right?
