The Paul Rudd episode was effectively combining an American national treasure with a British national treasure and allowing them to wander around together
The Russian restaurant where they're eating is called 'Petrovich' in central Moscow and its a nostalgia-themed restautrant with classic workingman's fare and furnishings from a re-imagined Soviet era. The items they are eating are still pretty common dishes.
I love horseradish and mustard and I think it would help with that lard plate in a way that makes it tolerable....not sure that's what they want though.
I don't know if it's possible, but if you can use a VPN to reroute your connection to the uk, you could watch the episodes on channel 4 demand. I assume it's on there anyway, mostly everything he does is on channel 4.
Hákarl is something most Icelanders never eat. It is better than starving - that is all I can say about it. He/they should have tried kjötsúpa, Hangikjöt, Lambakjöt or ýsa; (boiled or fried haddock),with potatoes and smjöri(butter). As for Brennivín... no-one drinks that "straight" you fill the glass with kók i.e. Coca-Cola or some other type of soda.
I wish someone would make that gif. The Greg Davies episode was such a gem. I'd watch it again and I've already seen it 4 times 🤣 They make a hilarious duo.
On nettles, i have never eaten it raw but in soup its like a kind of spinach.(and if you roll or simply stroke the spines with your palm or something you won't get stung while its raw) Quite good and very nutritious.
My girlfriend hates liquorice (the normal kind) but I love it. So she got me some from Flying Tiger (Danish shop) back when neither of us knew salted liquorice was a thing, and she didn't understand why I found that disgusting sweet disgusting but liked the other disgusting sweet.
I was praying to finish the video without seeing any Turkish ones here but then I saw İşkembe Çorbası and was like... fck it's ok you're right, they're absolutely right hahahahah

God bless Eddie...i once bought some overpriced orange wine at a farmers market just to try it out. Had a sip and it was hands down THE WORST DRINK OF ANY TYPE IVE EVER HAD. I basically forced myself to finish the glass because it was so expensive but i ended up chucking it anyway
I ate the shark thinking, in my drunken state, it was cheese. Soon realised. Should have done given the lack of cows, sheep or goats. Worst thing I have had in my mouth.

And then the Lena Dunham one was the exact opposite.
Well Paul Rudd's entire family is from the UK so it works good

His confusion at the BK sauna was gold.

75 proof alcohol, £5 per shot, and she drinks it straight from the bottle. This is the kind of woman I need to be going on dates with.
Drinking that kind of thing from the bottle is normal though... Right?
Wherever I saw Spaced for the first time I'd knew she's a keeper
Didn't he spit the shark out in to her glass
British women will out drink most men, then take a piss in the street. Pure class
If she drinks absinthe straight from the bottle there’s no chance you’ll be able to get her drunk enough to sleep with you
The whole segment with the Turkish soup is still hilarious, and I've seen it at least a dozen times!
Turkish soup and the fondue key party bit with frank skinner are my favorites
Me too
As an Italian, I swear that talking Richard saying “Grazie” and “Gelato” with that British accent made my day
Watching Paul Rudd fight his natural state of being the nicest guy was hilarious.
Still crying... "It's offering a lot of resistance". That's too good. He sure has mastered the language.
