That is one of the greatest athletic feats I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding. Not only did she grab the reigns, she stopped the horse. The horse didn’t try to run off afterwards. I’ve seen horses run for 5 minutes with a group of outriders chasing...with no luck. I love the fact she got up and started working on getting the saddle off.
I think she was still holding the reins while undoing the cinch and removing the saddle and tack
I don’t know why this video was recommended by the algorithm as I’ve never watched a horse video of any type on UA-cam but okay, I’m suitably impressed. Very brave thing to do to keep this animal from causing itself harm ♥️
Same 😂
Same! but glad it did! 'fraid I'd be the one ducking under the railings and making a speedy exit in the opposite direction.
Guess it worked well..

What an absolute fantastic act of humanity toward an animal, that poor horse was obviously scared witless, as can happen with high strung animals. This lass deserves some serious recognition for her bravery

Jesus i feel so sorry for anyone that actually took the "she'll have to pay for that" joke seriously.
I once told a joke to a bunch of friends from another country. Something like, "A lorry driver calls the office: 'My mirror is smashed.' They reply: 'Replace it.' He goes: 'I can't.' 'Why?' 'Because the lorry is on top of it.'"
One of the group, a lorry driver, said, "That's the better case, because the insurance will cover it. A smashed mirror on its own would go out of the driver's pocket."
Then he told me how much a lorry mirror costs. Ouch!
British humor does take a while to get used to if you're not exposed to it! hahahahahahaha

It's turning in to Nairobi
@@jamescricketson9464 what?......
@@ashotofmercury it's filling up with people from the third world, it's changing and not for the better
@UCH0Gvj0v1VOa8W2AUCBAopA You mean to say it's turning into Kenya, Nairobi is a city, not a country, but if you bothered to learn that much about other places and people you'd realize how stupid and bigoted your comment actually is.
Actually, equally, your comment is presumptuous because for your information there was a phrase in The Borough of Southwark, S E London 25 years ago that said the Borough was turning into "Little Lagos" not Little, Nigeria let alone the change of the Capital to Abuja.
It's a term and I would suggest whatever the authenticity or nature of the phrase is more appropriate when a comparison is made to the Capital rather than a whole Country. Also, please retain the 100% record of commentators who make similar remarks to the one you made in that you are not old enough to see the massive change in ethnicity between the old 1960's/1970;s England as I was or you are not from a large multi-cultural area but somewhere like THe Shires or West Country. @@kierab1280 not really that stupid mate. its about the only way to stop a horse running blind like that. i'v done that on Epsom Downs with a runaway horse that's bolted when out training. its difficult to do and you get it wrong and you are in big trouble. but its not stupid just extremely dangerous.

Love the way she casually pats the horses neck and proceeds to remove the saddle, well done young lady.👏👏👏👏
I was impressed with how quickly she moved in to take the gear off. Taking care of business like it's her job.

Horse ladies are so ballsy. Good for her for doing what she thought was morally right for the horse. They usually just keep going until they collapse for anyone that's not seen a runaway horse. She even said it herself she couldn't stand to see it go another lap. So people shouldn't hate on her or bash her for putting herself in danger. She knew full well what could have happened.

Finally, a reporter that helps the situation instead of just reporting on it. Remember, we're all in this together so, help when you can..
Right on.
That being said, if she hadn't been familiar with horses already, trying to get involved would have been risky. Horses are huge and heavy, getting in the way of one in a panic could have gotten her seriously injured if she didn't know what she was doing. There's a difference between giving a helping hand and making yourself a liability.
I'm not saying to never get involved--people should absolutely help wherever and however they can, but there are times where it's best to not throw yourself into danger if youre inexperienced.
This is like saying "finally a painter who does landscaping rather than just painting it." I mean, simply just reporting is their job. If it had been an average, untrained reporter, it would have been far more dangerous for everyone for them to get involved. This was a rare case where she was skilled enough and confident enough to help.
I’m not in anything? Don’t tell me I’m in this with you. Horse racing is cruelty.
