As an American tourist I visited SL maybe 6 times until COVID came along and It's a great country with warm people. They usually go out of their way to help the other person and that attitude is kinda inbuilt into their culture...Even here in Seattle, the Sri Lankan families are some of the most awesome ones. When most of the countries were cornering and pushing the tourists out of their countries during COVID, Sri Lankans gave them homes, warmth and care... Even when the war in Ukraine started, the stranded Ukrainians were given free houses and food until they were repatriated. SL sets a new standard of hospitality to the world! Certainly I will be coming again jolly old Ceylon!
We are kind not because you are white or touriest. In Sri Lanka most of the Sri Lankans very kind and hospitable to everyone. We respect every nationality regardless their race, religion, country. Everyone desrved to be respected that is nature of Sri Lankan. Thats what our culture told us to do. I hope you enjoy Sri Lanka.
Some places to visit whilst you are in Sri Lanka: - Cinnamon hotel (Colombo) - Coral Beach hotel (Mirissa) - Tree of Life hotel in the mountainous area of Kandy - Yala National Park - Ridiyagma Safari Park - Sigiriya, ascend the steps to the top to see an incredible view Cities and coastal towns to visit in Sri Lanka: - Colombo - Kandy - Ella - Mirissa (I have seen the guy you were with in another video again in Sri Lanka, he is pretty much a local now and should be familiar so he can help you with travelling to these locations around Sri Lanka but you can always ask the people there if you need assistance)

When entering religious places/ temples try your best to remain silent when your vlogging & ask permission if recording is allowed. 📵 5. Don’t drink or smoke in public places and avoid littering at all cost. 🚭

We was this year in Sri Lanka for 7 weeks it’s so nice. But we was on the wrong place in hikkaduwa, many lokal people will your Money. The next December we come back but not there on this area.
Just a little tuktuk tip: You dont have to wait for the tuktuks on the app; just check the fare of your trip on the app and offer it to tuktuks near you. Most of them will agree since when they use the app they pay something between 15% and 30% commission to the pickme company.
