TNice tutorials is aweso! I was feeling kinda overwheld when i first start soft but after watcNice tutorialng your tutorial video, i feel much more confident
You sir are a champion. I looooove when people just get to the point and lay out the steps. I'm fairly new to C4D and you made this very easy to follow. So, thank you very much for this.
Thank you so much for this - I do a lot of motion tracking in AE - but I've been disappointed with some of my results lately since the Foundry discontinued its AE Camera tracker. So thankful to have a new tool in my toolbelt, and to have it so clearly explained.
I have watched a lot of other motion tracking tutorials but this one is the best and well explained tutorial i have ever seen!!! keep up the awesome work 👍
I've seen trick painting 90 degree grid dots on ground (or triangles) with black color to help tracking (which can then be removed in post-process). Texture in asphalt may lack contrast and there's also noise interfering with tracker. Also need to know curvature of your camera optics and decurvature footage before tracking. I did that by making photo of list with grid, because couldn't find information in internet.
RENDER SETTINGS: make sure your frame rate in your project settings matches your original footage before you try the motion track. CMD or CTRL + D will bring up your project settings in c4d. Also go into your render settings CMD or CTRL + B and adjust the frame rate there too. Make sure the dimensions are the same. i.e. 1920x1080
loved the tutorial! had a question. I'm currently working on a vfx proj rn, where i have a scene of a guy jumping on the floor. i want the guy to jump on one of the launchpads, i've made. I've tracked the scene well. but when i place the pad, it floats and covers the jump. how do i fix that?
all are going good but I have a big problem , shadow didnot showing under the object. How can I fix it? If you read this comment please reply as soon as possible.
Hi! What if you imported the footage in C4D and did the camera tracking....When I render to view a frame I only see the objects but not the video frame. How will i be able to see the footage frame and the objects? I'll appreciate your help!
I still wonder which is better workflow to make CGI background and mattepaint: Using only C4D or only Nuke. Or even Aftereffects + element 3d (I know, this is not a good workflow).
Could you help me with a problem ? When i finished my motion tracking by clicking 2D track and 3D track , I click on the solved camera to view it in the 3D viewport but i noticed that my solved camera didn't move at all Also the grid didn't line up to my ground too I already added the motion tracking tags such as Planar contraint , vector contraint And also position contraint properly
when you have your footage loaded in the full screen (before the 2D auto track), you axis remains visible, I can't get mine to. Also when the tracking is done and you're creating the position constraint, it isn't actually relocating the "centre of the world" for me, which is kind of the whole point? does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
Hello, thanks for the tutorial, it worked almost pretty well, but when my camera y moving forward, the tracking system does not detect that movement as good as it should detected. What can I do?
Hi, Thanks for the tut. Im having a nightmare with the motion tracker camera not moving once solved. in R18. When I create the motion tracker the cameraalready has a protection tag, in all the tuts Ive seen as soon as the motion tracking is solved the camera moves around in the perspective view when you scrub. Is it something to do with settings? Ive tried multiple shots with different lighting etc, but the camera is just frozen.
Have done it the way you do, but now I'm facing the problem of how to save the finished video (as, for example, MP4 file)! I've tried rendering, but just render the cube and the video in the background not, is that normal? Does this need to be combined with the video editing program? PS: Thank you in advance for the answers!!!
well first off thanks for the vídeo. its a realy well made tracking! i trully didnt thought a minecraft animator COULD do these stuff (no offense) ill try to use this on my animations
3 things: 1. THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING WELL-EXPLAINED TUTORIAL, I needed one like this a year ago, but finally someone made one :) 2. Will you do a tutorial on how to make "holes"? It could be a bit stupid, but for example, I have the foam diamond pickaxe and I want to make a real life animation where I break my room wall and go inside... 3. Wow you have the Sheep Skin Converter thing program, I thought I was the only person that used it lol WHEN WILL U REVEAL UR FACE???
Alessandro Amella I do show how to make a hole in the ground later in the video. If you want to walk through it idk how you would do that I haven't tried it yet. Also idek when I will do a face reveal XD mayb when I get more subs LO
doesnt work for me, the after effects function didnt work so i thought i would try this, but the object moves to much and at some point it will stop following the trackers it wil follow the camera. Help?
A nice tutorial. However, I have 2 problems: a) I create a planar constraint. This creates a triangle with which I mark the ground. My problem: when the camera moves and one of the 3 points of the Planar Constraint disappears from the field of view, the movement of the generated mesh stops at this moment during playback. Is there any way to prevent it? b) In 2D reconstruction I create track points and have them automatically placed in the video via the "Auto track" function. If the camera pans, but in the new image section no more track points are included. Is it possible that track points will be generated there as well?
When I create a planar constraint and the triangle appears, I am unable to move the points on the triangle onto any of the track points. Has this ever happened to you? Do you know how to fix it?

Watched many tutorials... This by far is the most clearly done and easy to understand. Simple straight to the point... You earned a sub 👌
Literally the best Cinema 4D tutorial I have ever seen!!!
actuly it is not the best
TNice tutorials is aweso! I was feeling kinda overwheld when i first start soft but after watcNice tutorialng your tutorial video, i feel much more confident
you are the only one i found that used png sequences instead of just the video itself and THANK YOU BECAUSE THE WAY YOU DOO IT IS SO MUCH BETTER

Yeah I agree. I also do a lot of the type of work that you do. Would you like to collab on a video?
is it possible to motion track an object like the way in the video except with an animated character?
Excellent work, very nicely done. There are paid-for tutorial series that aren't as good as this.
Very clean and concise.

The most complete Cinema 4D Motion Tracker, thanks you so much!
The truth is that the unknown scares all of us, but we just have to practice so we can get well with the software.
You saved me from a complicated homework, thank you so much!
This is the best tutorial I've found, thank you very much, and great job!

this is something for i've waiting for so long... thanks!
Fantastic tutorial, thank you!
tip , for lights and reflexions don use the texture of the sky on color, use it in luminosity texture
Nice tuturial 👍
Thanks for the tutorial! For beginners, I recommend using after effects because it’s so much easier, IMO

This helped me immensely! Thank you!!
I use Adobe Photostop to do the PNG sequence, works simpler :-)
i always watch this video when i forgot
Awesome! Need to try this one! Thanks.
in R18 the tracked points disappear when I try to add planar constraint
Great tutorial!!! Thanks a lot
Thankyou man! Great video!
I like your thorough style man. Nice job.
Great tutorial!! Thank u
This was a great tutorial, but why convert it to an image sequence? Why can't you just use an mp4?
Super tutorial. Many thanks.
Ty this one was very useful for me ;)
Hello! I can`t get the cube shadow to appear. What am doing wrong? Thanks, nice tut!
The object shakes a little bit in the final render. Do you have an idea of what could be the problem?
Thank you very much I love this tuto
Dude thank you!
when you started shaking it i laughed
It’s a really good tut!!!
[PLEASE HELP] When I put the position constraint, the camera stays in the center so it is in the wrong perspective!
+In the setup +inthesetup I am getting a long drawn out static-like soft when I try to listen to the GMS setupe, doing EXACTLY what you
Great tutorial, thanks!
that was killer. Thanks man. you got skillzzzz
hi, do you know of a tutorial for tracking a moving and rotating head on existing footage (no markers), and then adding a mask or helmet to it? thanks
oke so now i know how to add 3d text in cinema 4D tks
all are going good but I have a big problem , shadow didnot showing under the object. How can I fix it? If you read this comment please reply as soon as possible.
Hi! What if you imported the footage in C4D and did the camera tracking....When I render to view a frame I only see the objects but not the video frame. How will i be able to see the footage frame and the objects? I'll appreciate your help!
Is that default style interface? looks cool
good hack, good job man
ok during the final editing of this. only the object moved but my background stayed like one still
To fix this instead of using an image sequence use the video for both the footage and the texture.
hey man i loved the video, i just needed the render settings because you never showed them :(
why at run 3d solver, I only got 130 frames from 210 frames?1?1
you have win a new suscriber
Thank for your great tutorial :)
My point went to a red point instead of a green point, but it still tracks it perfectly. Should I keep it the way it is?
What's the difference between auto-track and Full Solve on Cinema 4D R20? I'm confused by which is best and how they differ
this was very useful. going to try this soon ;)
gud tutorial..thank you
route, and connect it to my computer system, will it be as simple as creating one track and play a composition through it, recording it, then
Amazing man. Thanks a lot!!!

Instead of using an image sequence use the video for the footage for the texture and the beginning motion tracking footage. Hope this helps.

removed all the checkboxes, everything was done by the light, and the planу remained the same and remained black and white
lookin great palm!

dealing with the exact same thing. 2d solves fine, the green and red won't stick. Did you fix it?
Same bro. I use R19
What is the best camera setting when you are recording? 25fps?¿60fps?¿ and the lens?¿

@@jeremyshin where is c4d settings in r17??
Hi there. When i render my video footage dont show just the object. Is any problem?

Hm, I don't see any green and red points when I activate the tracking cam - there are only WHITE points with circles around (R18).
thank you!

make sure thee move tool is selected, better lt8 than nver lol

I can never get the grid to match up with the ground of what i'm tracking...
Well, VCL was being a bitch so I spent my time cracking After Effects. XD LOL.
believe me, after effects is a bitch to crack...

how do you render to avi? when i tried it gave me a tiff file that doesn't work in ae
HOW DO YOU EXPORT AS A VIDEO
i see magic *O* thank u
can i add animted object in here??? like animated frosty rig
Not a bad tutorial. Your "hdri" setup isn't done correctly though.
Can I export the Points to After Effects?
ok ohhhhh nice
