I used to go see EJ at Sneaky Petes in Dallas on Sunday nights for a dollar. It was a lot better back then. I was a lot less commercial, and although he had a lot of vocal songs, it was way freer, and when he did a solo it lasted much longer, and it was much more improvised, and he was so damn explosive back then with his picking hand. It is good to see how far he went and it is good that people now know his name. Not many did when he was a dollar a night. But we did and we were all insane EJ freaks!!!! We talked about him so much we had to abbreviate his name to EJ or just Eric.
Once again, Eric's playing on this video proves that Leo got it dead right in 1954. The Stratocaster is the KING of electric guitars. It really can do it all !!! Sorry Gibson, you don't even come close. Wonderful.
I saw it 3 days later in Atlanta, and man was it great to hear live. My favorite EJ song....Thanks for uploading. I started to video it, but decided I just wanted to enjoy it.
Marcus Valdes One of my favorites, too. Had to capture this one as soon as I recognized the opening notes. The entire show was superb and I was quite happy with his song selection.
Agree 100% about song selection. Only other one I would have loved to have heard is Last House on the Block. Next time maybe! Hard to believe he is 62 years old. Looks and plays a LOT younger.
I clicked on this so fast I got a blister.

Marcus Valdes "Last House" is fantastic. I left the concert and listened to that on Alien Love Child on the drive home!
Have you heard it on the Live in Europe CD? Even better!
I can't believe how much I love you. You have no idea yet.
AMAZING DRUMMING......Just sayin'.
i love how much he pours into this song every time i see him play it...just amazing. Nobody plays like him!
Is it me, or that moment at 5:25 begins to sound like a U2/The Edge thing?!..
