- This cabinet was designed and made for my Gordon Russell Project at Rycotewood Furniture Centre, Oxford, UK.
The piece is primarily made from Walnut, both solid and veneer, with two bookmatched spalted Beech doors. Overall, it took 5 weeks to make.

I’m so glad you decided to do UA-cam.
Just finished up this series, and the walnut desk, great work, beautiful. Where I am, for the most part, wood is cheap enough that veneering isn't worth it except for in larger production shops. I'm thankful for that too, it seems very time consuming. The shots at the end with the drawers out are just stunning.
Amazing work! First place in school!
Fantastic job
Krenov and Einaudi... doesnt get much better then that. Nice work!!
Well done. The wood is beautiful and what you’ve done pays homage to Krenov. I would have liked to see knife hinges instead of seeing the barrel hinges breaking up the lines. Love the curvy drawers with no knobs
Dude, this is amazing and fancy stuff. Truly enviable!
nicely done!
Stupendous!!! a real pleasure to watch - Thank You for posting
Incredibly beautiful!
Holy crap is all I can think of ... such level of craftsmanship! #inspiring
Thank you so much mate! One of my favourite projects.
Superb work Matt - an heirloom piece!
This cabinet is one of the best one i've ever seen but all these holes for the shelves are not too cool, anyway i really love this piece of furniture!
Giacomo Battisti I saw the adjustable shelf pin holes and went “nooooooooo”! Beautiful cabinet regardless!👍🏽
Bravo Matt! Well done!
Cheers for your continued support throughout this series mate, really appreciate it!
Awesome work Matt. Love your channel.
man this is very high level! beautiful job!
Have you ever made anything that wasn't epic?
Ah come on Matt, you know I'm treading in your territory when mixing Walnut with mental door panels. Cheers!
Beautiful work!
Super awesome! I'm more of a hand tool guy, but great and inspirational work can also come from power tools :)
Cheers mate! It was a relief to be able to do hand cut dovetails on this one, the machining was getting a bit tiring.
Beautiful job. Well done.
Beautiful work again Matt, love your videos. Inspired me to complete my 2" (48mm) thick English Yew, Natural edge, gold glitter, (My Wife's contribution to the design), epoxy filled side table, just before the New Year. Sadly I work abroad in Aviation so can't spend anything like as much time as I'd like at home and in my shop. But my table (more by pure luck than skill), turned out great. Great tutorials on sharpening helped me restore my sadly departed father in law's No, 4 Footprint plane for "near as damn it", tear-out free planning of the Character Yew board after jointing the top and shelf boards, for which I offer my sincere thanks. I'm guessing ONE of your course mates is jealous of your work though? ;-)
you are an artist
Wow. So nice!

Beautiful work Matt, inspiring stuff mate 👍👍👍
Cheers Simon, it was a really enjoyable project!
Spectacular Matt!!!
Thank you for your support through this series Doug!
Just found your channel Matt. Lovely 6 videos on the Krenov cabinet, thanks for making them. Cracking piece of work, inspiring stuff! Well done mate. Followed on Instagram!
Awesome, thank you so much Rob!
Very very impressive work!
Thank you George, appreciate it!
Love it Matt!
Cheers Rob!
again another great piece.
Cheers Archie!
Bravo!
It turned out fantastic. You really saved up on those beauty shots. =)
Haha thank you Anders!
Einaudi is a genius!
You’re incredibly talented. What is this place that you built this piece at? Is it a school? Is it a public place where people pay to use the machines? There’s nothing like that where I live. Keep up the good work
Beautiful Matt. How many hours did it take you to build this project?
So nice, thanks! Are you using mdf and veneer because it's more stable, or because it's cheaper? Would it be possible to build it in solid wood, or would it move too much? Cheers
Nice trailer, now where's the video?
Ya that is super sexy!!! Love it. Really appreciate your design aesthetic. What are your plans for it?
Thank you John! I have an awkward corner in my bedroom where it may fit. The trouble is, furniture looks tiny in a large workshop, but when you bring it into a house it looks massive!
You could just have made some small handles for the drawers etc. All else is mastership with machines, wood and handtools. It is true; when we are young we don't always know when to stop while making something. And then sometimes it gets to much. Ach u know. It's oké.
Krenov inspired but not in the way is made. Techniques that can only be taught by those that have done very specific training.
Does anyone know what program he was using to draw the design, at 0:30 - 0:33 ?
Don't know if you're still waiting on an answer, but it looks kinda like Inventor. With the orientation cube on the top right. Not really sure though.
