I'm sure knowing you shared a bed with them, had a baby with them, and didn't see their suicide coming is a difficult pill to swallow. I hope she's going to be okay.

Aaron had a lot of demons. I think fame and money made him believe he was above the law. I remember the country being captivated by this case. But, after the guilty verdict, after the suicide, all this time later, the country has moved on. But, Odin's mother, and his family still have that hole in their hearts, a piece of them missing💔 May God give them comfort and love ❤ RIP Odin🙌🙏
His upbringing was so faulty that it ruined him for the rest of his life. He looked a lot older than 27. I think the football club should've helped with his mental health as well as the physical. Firstly verified UA-camrs that put out videos everyday get ad revenue from every single person that watches the video and his videos range from 10 K all the way to more than 100 K daily. Annie is not struggling she’s getting greedy!! And to add fuel to the fire she’s profiting off of tragic circumstances of the victims…. And not donating any portions to local charities or go fund me’s to family’s…. I think CTE definitely played a role in this, not excusing anything that he did, but I do certainly think there is something to that. Look at Chris Benoit. Look at other athletes who have had multiple head injuries and watch how bizzare their behaviors become compared to who they were previously.

We lived in Bristol and my son played basketball with him. I turned on the FX but it was wrong at the beginning. The boys he was friends with in high school were all mostly relaxed. My son had a birthday and I invited the whole team. They all showed up, except Aaron. He apologized later. These boys were all very respectful to the parents.
When his dad died, he was a different person. His dad was at every one of his games and was his cheerleader and coach after the game. I feel so bad for Otis’ family. I feel so bad for Aaron’s mom. She went to all of his games and after his dad died, she was so sad looking. What a sad story all around.
Must be so surreal for you and especially your son to see how Aaron's life played out and ultimately spiraled to the point of no return! Hope your family and yourself are doing well.

Seeing the guy that ruled the football field and the basketball court, mess up and give up his life and hurting others. I use to see his mom and dad at every game. I was shocked when it said that his mom was abusive. She was so nice and quiet in the bleachers. His dad’s death hit their whole family hard. His brother was playing at UConn but he was close to home. Wow, what a waste.

What a bad & sad situation for everyone involved!!! As a child Aaron got beat up almost daily by his father and probably caused Aaron's thinking to be way off, and all he ever knew was violence either at home or on the football field. Poor Odin got murdered for trying to be friends with an NFL Star!!! Odin's mother lost her son!!!! And Aaron's son, who will grow up without a father in his life!!!!!!!

The theme I'm noticing from watching all these true crime deep dives is that one way or another the parents are the reason for what happens. While some have the ability to process and to some extent manage their trauma Aaron never had a chance because he chose to take substances that exacerbated the symptoms and made them 100 times worse
Aaron knew right from wrong. He knew what he was doing.
So I grew up with an extremely abusive single parent ....my father....I remember the day my little brother at 13 had enough and told him if you hit me I'm calling the cops.....my dad proceeds to dial 911 hands it to my brother and when dispatch picks up he knocks the shit out of my brother and throws him on a table and chokes him...my brother runs away to the police station and police literally fucking told him .....well guess you shouldn't done that huh......my dad was well connected in that town the cops never did shit...
He literally punched me in my face in the middle of my ballet class in front of hella people and no one said or did shit.....the man would literally chase us down the street naked if he had to just to beat us....got out at 16 moved to Cali.....would o murder someone tho.... absolutely not....I feel for them ....but u stop being a victim when victimize other people ya know.....then your no dam better ..... idk sorry bout the rant

Have you ever thought about doing a deep dive on Chyna from the WWE? I just listened to a shorter story on her by Karine Aloude (sp) who does a really good job but I would love to hear a deep dive. I also think you do a great job with deep dives and China was a complex character along with the WWE which has its own complexities especially with the way that it contracts pple and then with triple H ending up with the boss's daughter 🤔🤨

Suicidal ideation is the thought that you or the world may be better off if you were dead, or that things would be easier if you were dead, but you don’t actually have a desire to die or don’t actually have thoughts of following through. being suicidal is actually having plans ideas or preparing for or actually attempting to commit suicide. They are extremely different. Plenty of people have suicidal ideation that are not actually suicidal
His CTE would have tipped the scales easily in his suicide. I firmly believe that.

I believe that the abuse was so drastic that he had brain damage from childhood and since he was conditioned by the abuse to just take the head injuries and shake it off. Sound like he was a very complex victim that became an even more complex predator.

I watched a documentary (or something) on him when he was on trial. I have been fascinated by this story since then. It never ceases to stun me how much money and fame means nothing to some ppl. Some folks will throw it all away with a smile and laughter.
He was mentally sick and had an extremely severe case of CTE which directly impacts impulse decisions. It’s made other football players kill themselves before. People just ignore it but it’s very likely he wouldn’t be violent without CTE

My son worked at that bar as a bouncer he was told to take the night off. That night was intentional. The next morning I was reading the news paper and read about the incident I about passed out I didn’t know he had the night off and when I called him he didn’t answer till 2. He had no clue of what happened. In a million ways I’m grateful and in a million ways my heart goes out to the families.
There are so many true crime YT channels that have covered this case already. Crime Weekly channel did a FIVE part series on it.

Bio Pic? Anyway, I graduated from Bristol Central High School 20 years before Aaron Hernandez was a twinkle in his mom’s eye. I think it’s a pretty simple story in the end. This kid was a hugely talented athlete who swung both ways. He got the shite beat out of him by the only man who was supposed to love him. So, he used his athletic ability to get what he wanted sex/money/men/women and if you pissed him off you were dead, period! Simple.
Crimeweekly has a 4 or 5 part deep dive on Hernandez each episode is over 2 hrs. It's extremely informative and detailed for anyone who is interested. Annie did a good job too, I'm not being a hater or anything.

Am so glad you finally did an episode on Aaron Hernandez because I watch a documentary about it on CNN and I also watched the full documentary on Netflix.
He thought he was untouchable by this time. He had more than likely got away with in my opinion got away with at least two shootings before this murder. My heart goes out to the poor families hurt and broken by this man's actions.

His CTE was horrible! He wasn’t a saint, but his CTE mixed with Angel Dust would’ve made a baaad combination.
I think the combination of the serious drugs and his brain damage probably caused his paranoia and poor impulse control. I wonder if he had any brain damage from his beatings in his childhood, too. Looking at his childhood photos makes me think that he was quite an open and emotional child (friendly, generous, feelings easily hurt, empathetic, etc.) who was very damaged by his violent father. I really think that he had very little impulse control and that caused him to act out violently when he was upset. I don’t doubt he was involved in all the shootings and murders. I was shocked by his suicide, but maybe he did consider the potential payout to his family since his conviction could be reinstated as his appeal continued. But it could have been yet another impulsive decision when he was feeling down. It’s all very sad. I hope Odin’s family has found some peace over the years.

I’m commenting prior to watching the video…simply to say thank you for covering this story.
I’m not a football fan and I haven’t heard much about this case in general, but what I have heard leaves me wondering about this recent medical study that has been done on people who suffer severe trauma or repeated trauma to the brain.
I’ve noticed in the past few years that there’s a very high percentage of violent criminals who have suffered from this type of brain injury and I’m excited to see if this could also play a part in Aaron’s foray into criminal behaviors.
Now, understand I’m not making an excuse for murder, but I do wonder just how much of a compulsion is caused by these injuries. I also wonder if it’s something that the person can feel coming on or if they just snap and react before they even register that what they’re doing…?
*Especially because there are always a lot of people who say the personalities of the murderer have changed quite suddenly. There is always a ton of interviews with people who are confused because the person just is not the murderous type…then they do a complete 180 after suffering brain trauma*

Marcellus Williams was just executed for a crime he did not commit and there is no channel that has compiled his case yet for the public to get a full outline of the story.
