True. It's like a math. Let's go random things like what is the solution for y = x^7 + 51x^3 + 13x -25234, I made that function in 5 seconds, solving it will take a longer while (of course not using a program or site like Wolfram Alpha) ;)
Yeah to make the defile puzzle they could have just taken the random weird cards like ratcatcher and void terror and aimed them at minions randomly to get a random health values for the defile. Then they just put extra minions on the board to fill in the missing number. They dont start with a complicated boardstate. They start with just 1 or 2 pieces they want the solution to involve, and then add on more things 1 by 1 which you need to do to set up that combo.
9:33 you dont need grumble at all btw. After you use your first refresh mana just drop the 8/8 and then refresh mana again, then use shadowflame on him and then use the 1 mana card to kill own minions.
when he goes to put down a minion so you put the same one down but then he backtracks and puts a different one down so now you have to restart that segment of the video. ;cc

At 9:44, you could just play the Snowfury giant instantly, refresh your crystals again, and shadowflame plus the spell that destroys your own minions. Faster than running the extra rounds with Grumble.
The last Draan puzzle broke me. I never would have thought to buff the goddamn sheep. I'm still getting thought the puzzles and I'm hoping I won't have to stoop to this for anymore (although Lil Stormy is already giving me trouble).

When a minion has poison, every damage they cause will have the effect, even if it is a battlecry or a deathrattle, if it is causes by him, it will have the effect. Same occurs to lifesteal. If a minion has lifesteal and his battlecry is "do 1 damage", it will heal your hero. The effect doesn't apply only to the minion attacking or being attacked, so it works.
I am pretty happy that I managed to solve all puzzles by myself (took me long enough though...) *except* the last one sadly. For example, in the next-to-last with the test subjects, I didn't copy the dmg+1 3 times (which is in high insight a simpler solution) but instead did the following: You can carefully engineer the ordering of playing and boosting the health of sergeant sally so as to get at least three of them with stats 4/2. You then trigger the other 1 sergeant sally with "Shadow word: pain" which kills the now 5/4 deathrattles and you can finish the whole board then by killing the 4/5 and your own minions with a single dmg+1 spirit lash that kills your 3/2 radiant elementals (they've been swapped) and your 4/2 sergeant sallies! I'm almost sad that this simpler solution involving copying the dmg+1 works, because I find the solution not involving it really neat. It makes you wonder how many of these puzzles have several significantly different solutions!

I know I'm frustrated at being so horribly stumped but still I feel like it's not that great of a design to a puzzle simply on the fact that it's SO incredibly complicated in the order you must do things to make it work that you can spend way too much time trying so many techniques down the wrong path to the solution

I am pretty happy that I managed to solve all puzzles by myself (took me long enough though...) *except* the last one sadly.
It's quite funny how I often came up with a different solution as the one given here. For example, in the next-to-last with the test subjects, I didn't copy the dmg+1 3 times (which is in high insight a simpler solution) but instead did the following:
