I just got back into meal detecting recently at 15 and found my first mercury dime, it was a 1918 s and was very worn down and I give this channel the credit because they really helped me get back into the hobby and find my second silver coin ever by medal detecting.
I take 2 5 gallon buckets with me for trash. I pick it up as I go. I bought one of those claws you pick trash up with but pick up any little glass, etc I find as I's walking around hunting.
I found one of those pins a long time ago. I thought it said "MOM" and the letters were on a crown of some sort. Then I turned it 180 degrees and found out it was a Woodmen Of the World pin and the letters are on a tree stump!
I remember going through my daddy’s pockets as a child, looking at those Mercury dimes and thinking how beautiful they were. Too bad I didn’t ask him for a few! Nice digging guys!
I`m amazed the distances you travel, the furthest ive travelled is max 40 mins from where i live. The oldest coin ive found is a 1432 silver hammered coin.
It all depends on where you are. In Wisconsin, a lot of the time you *really* have drive to go anywhere with any potential. A lot of the places around have just been hit to death.
Good job, boys! Them deep highfalutin Memorials are some of the most frustrating digs that I deal with. Got to dig them because you never know, and might just get a silver Washington out of it like Gary did.
Hello and thanks for the great video each week. I have been following you guys for the 3 years that I got back into detecting after a long break for several years. I detect almost exactly like you guys do and live in GA. I have been using an Equinox 800 the whole time and I think I need to have a backup just in case. I was thinking of either a Nox 900 or a Legend. The only reason I am considering a Legend is because of the price difference. I follow other guys out there and they seem to rave and rant about their Legends. I don't know anyone that has a 900 yet. I have done very well with my 800 and have found well over 200 silvers in the 3 years that I have used it. I go out only on Saturdays because I have a full-time job during the week and a family. Please give me your advice if you think the 900 is worth the extra money. Once again keep up the great detecting and awesome videos thanks Tom in GA
Hey Tom, thanks so much for the support! Looks like you're having some great luck too with your Nox 800. Shoot me an email, digthatbeep@gmail.com and we'll discuss some things. Thanks again!
We generally try to find the pastor. Sometimes the pastor will tell you he needs to discuss with the board. This time around there were several members at the church doing renovations and gained permission that way. Thanks for watching!
You boys got enough clad to buy a bucket of KFC so forget the tacos. Good finds for Mike and Gary as silver is always nice to find. Great video as always. Keep on digging the next good find is only a beep away.

You guys could make a miniature city or a wrecking yard with all your old toy vehicles and parts.
It's always an episode when silver is found!
Dig that beep rides the wow train!
Nice finds Guys 👊
Some silver.. and lot's of taco money. Good day!
memorial pennies are dated to 1959-2008.
'74 Kennedy has a no FG or ddo?
I think it has FG, hard to see in the pictures though.
What do ya'll clean your coins with?
Just water on the silver & a rock tumbler for all the clad/wheats.
so who's the right person at a church to ask ?

@@digthatbeep I've always thought of telling the pastors I already spoke to God and he told me I could
