Sometimes, find-&-replace or substitute function cannot recognize the space coding. To “teach” it to recognize the space, open a cell with a space inside and select the space area and use Ctrl-C to copy it and Ctrl-V to paste it in the find-&-replace or the " " area in the substitute function.
