Jill, a violinist, has been studying violin since she was 3 years old, her teacher did not like notes and taught her to play by ear. Now she has perfect pitch and has performed blindfolded. She graduated from the Higher School of Arts as the best in the violin class, she has many international awards and has performed in a chamber music group in Austria and Italy.
One of the most underrated Japanese groups imo 🤘👍 (Btw if you want even heavier you can try their side project 'Unholy Orpheus'. Same band but without the female lead so mostly harsh vocals.)
Well you asked for this. Unlucky Morpheus started in 2008, as a side project with Fuki (singer) and Shiren (guitar + many others). They 1st met in a band called Magic*Ninja, which was a band that did covers of amine tracks, Fuki was a member of another band, Light Bringer, and one of the members from Light Bringer was also in Magic*Ninja and took Fuki along because they needed a singer. Magic*Ninja only lasted 1 year. Fuki and Shiren enjoyed work together so much they started the side project of Unlucky Morpheus. Unlucky Morpheus started out as a Touhou metal covers band. Touhou is a very popular platform video game in Japan. Fuki was the singer +wrote the lyrics and Shiren did everything esle. After a year or 2 they start to get fans that wanted to see them play live. So Shiren had to ask his friends to help them out live. In 2011 Ogawa (bass) who used to go to the same music college as Shiren, and used to jam together, started playing bass for then, even although he was a jazz bassist. At the same concert Fumiya also made his 1st appearance for the band. He did also go to the same college as Shiren & Ogawa, he was a couple of years below them, so they never really met. They were introduced by a mutual friend, Shirens 1st reaction was "wow, that's a lot of drums". Jinya (guitar) was found by Fuki, playing at the same show is was performing at, with one of her many bands, and told Shiren to check him out. Around 2013, Shiren found Jill playing at a concert, with another band. As soon as Shiren heard Jill play, he knew it was a sound he needed in Unlucky Morpheus. In 2014 Unlucky Morpheus released their 1st self writen metal album "Affected", up till then it had alway been Touhou covers. In 2014 Light Bringer went in to hiatus, and Fuki was without a main band, she had a few side projects. So because Shiren did not want to lose Fuki as a singer, because she may go to a band that did not want her to sing with anyone else, Unlucky Morpheus went from side project to a full time band, and they asked the others who had been playing with them live, over a few years, to join as well. Fuki is a complete workaholic, she is always doing something, she has at least 120 albums which she has sung on. She has a degree in costume and design, and designs many of the costumes that the band wears on stage or in video's. She has also produced her own music radio show. Worked with a lot of other bands, most notably Doll$boxx, which is the musicians from Gacharic Spin + Fuki, and have 2 albums with, they are also touring Japan around now. And in her spare time, she some times does modleing work. Shiren was also a workaholic, and still is to a point. He writes all the music for Unlucky Morpheus, and on the odd occasion does the lyrics, if Fuki does not, you can tell who wrote which song lyrics, if they are over the top, Fuki wrote them, if they are more subdued, Shiren wrote them, because he wants to protect her voice. He can also play lots of instruments, he 1st learnt the piano, but moved to guitar, he also played in the 1st Kami Band (Babymetals backing band). He has also been in a few other bands, most notably Yousei Teikoku. In 2015 he found out he had tendonitis in his arm/wrist, and it was painfull to play guitar, and almost retired. He has managed it over the years, from paying while sitting down and the guitar on a stand, to now where he plays a headless guitar (less weight) on a stand for 1/2 a show and the rest without the stand. He used to also take rests during the show, and Jill used to play his parts on the violin, with Black Pentagram being one of them. The band was also very active on UA-cam during the lockdown piriod, either by showing a live DVD, doing a live show (recorded just for UA-cam with no audience), or one or two of the members doing a live show chat + playing one of their songs, at least 1 or 2 times a week. Unlucky Morpheus are a purly independent band, the produce, release, manage, distibrute, book tours, and promote, everything themselves. They are one of those rare bands that do it for the love of it. They know they are a small band and are happy with it, in fact they were very suprised when they realised how many overseas fans they had, as they just write for the Japanese market. One of the reasons I love this band, they are not trying to be more than they are, and are not bothered if they stay a small Japanese band. They have only played once out side Japan, and that was at a Japanese metal music festival in London in 2019, where I got the chance to see them play live.
Give that woman a breath 😂😂😂 Unbelievable the power 🔥 Try "Angreifer" live by unlucky morpheus to see her insane stage presence 🌸🇯🇵 Best performances are in japan 🫵🥹 7:26 most satisfied bells ever. 🤘😅
I thought you'd enjoy this. The band are all outstanding musicians, especially Jill, the violinist. Since I went down the Japanese rock/metal rabbit hole I found a lot of great bands. the next one from this band I'd recommend is Unlucky Morpheus「CADAVER ]「REVADAC」Song melody played forwards and backwards, hence the title. @@inalectexperiencesnot sure what you have seen but if not must adds include Nemophila-OURAN LIVE, live bites-Set the world on Fire live and Hanabie-Pardon Me I Have to Go Now mv. As for more Unlucky Morpheus Black Pentagram liv3 is a whole other level of awesome news and add in lives of Angrifier and Phantom Blood and you will continue to be amazed.
Thank you for the reaction! It was a good reaction. Japanese live videos almost always are even better than MVs. For me "Black Pentagram" live is much better than this amazing MV. I love the live version so much. And it is really different from MV. You need to watch it (even without reaction)!
check out cadavar/revedac from unlucky morpheus, and also another godly japanese metal band that i like is galneryus, check out there song angle of salvation

Noted! Thank you so much!
Fuki sings in the traditional Shigen style, which is used for Japanese poetry. No one had tried it in rock and metal before her.
That's pretty creative and awesome other bands took inspiration from her!
Can you please react to tiny desk chappel roan🙏
Already in the works 🤝🤘
