Shhhhh don’t tell anyone about it till I get my hands on one, need to keep the prices down :p
Same 😭
Which is why I both love and hate the R30s and Supras because everyone wants one, therefore driving up their prices like the stock market is going out of style
Buy one in Canada. They are cheap and abundant

The Lexus LS is arguably the greatest car ever made. Full stop.
As a Lexus owner (93 sc400 1UZ) the ls400 is becoming bandwagon (probably cuz they’re the best cheap 90’s Japanese car you can buy right now (2023)). It’s a great car don’t get me wrong but the greatest car ever? No
Sedan* but there is the Mercedes 300e also. That thing is a tank.
@@kxdza5195 everyone and they mommas has this car now, makes mine feel like a bandwagon💔
There's no such thing as a bandwagon or overrated toyota unless you're not a toyota loyalist.
Wrong. 1978 Toyota tercel is best
Definitely cooler and faster than a non turbo 300zx
I think they're sick af.
Aren’t 300zx’s stock twin turbo?
@@xkingkillerdomx9944 the z32 base model had a NA model
@@xkingkillerdomx9944 300zx’s do not come stock with twin turbo
Nah the z is definitely cooler
Miles aren’t the only thing that matters. A car with 35,000 miles can often be worse mechanically than the same car with 150,000 miles.
True, some jdm low mile cars have alot of idle hours or just few km commutes.
if it idles a million hours and never has any gaskets, tires or fluids changed yeah lol
@@adorablecenturion8436 it’s also that idling doesn’t get enough oil to the lifters so you end up with lifter issues and usually get a tick
I saw someone driving one here in CA a while back and it was pretty cool.
I'd never thought about how importing it means having less miles. That might explain why I saw someone driving a RHD Honda Prelude here yesterday.
Was it dark green? Could have been mine. Around LA county?
If I remember correctly, Japanese cars are taxed on mileage on the motor. This lead to people buying and replacing motors once they hit a certain number of miles providing a surplus of slightly broken in engines. This is also why you can get damn near brand New motors for Japanese cars shipped overseas at a normal reasonable rate.
Also it’s an island… we have states bigger than most of europe
Listen bro you slam one more door and I'll personally come for you.
This is toyota celsior in Japan...same as LS400... the difference is you can get it with clothe seat which is actually wool in some option... wool is a higher version than leather...
There are so many more differences than just that..
I’d much rather have leather seats than wool wtf😅
@@Sweedsteruntil it’s a 15 year old car and wool can’t crack they didn’t use pleather back then it’s hard finding 150k mile ls400 with leather seats that don’t need replaced if you want your VIP build interior to match ur exterior
Worse Anti theft system and it has power fold in mirrors those are the two buggiest differences besides seat material and the obvious right hand drive
I have a 97 celsior and love it as a daily

How
With my 2014 GT86 it was imported to New Zealand with only 30,000km on the odometer.
For the same year, km's and price, dealers make sure you have a minimum of 100,000km+
I have the 2010 Toyota Crown as my daily and it hasn't broken past 60,000km - benefits from Japan!
New Zealander love bro 😂❤
You missed the part where they are cheap. In my area they go for like $8-10k for a nice one
For now, but enough videos like this and it’ll just end up being “30,000 I know what I got” like every other JDM car in existence.
Theyre not cheap, they just have 10x the value because of miles. Celsior is 10k most times to start. 20 for a nice nice nice one. Worth it in my opinion
That’s without import I haven’t seen any already imported with under 70k miles for less then 16
My late father in law had one of the first LS400’s in Japan. Nice car! 😋😋😋
I owned a mint one owner '93 ls400 about 5 years ago. Two tone gold. Perfectly balanced V8 and comfortable ride.
Same here, I bought a 95 with 120k for only 1200usd. I had another 95 later on but not as nice. I’m glad I got to enjoy one before they became taxed and thrashed
Unfortunately the odometers on these cars are sometimes rolled back…
You didnt have to say not as cool as the iconic JDM cars cuz to me a body style like that is like a JZX100 to me with a body kit thats fire kinda the same cars
I saw one on BaT or C&B with such a cool JDM-only option, the 'F-Package'. Rear climate controls, friggin lace curtains, power rear seats with massage. Very slick stuff we never got in the US model LS400. 👌
You’re right, it’s cooler, it’s more reliable with a cheaper and easier engine to work on that’s also got tons of after market support and is plenty capable if it’s built out
Great, now ls400’s have doubled in price
Hey I work with the guys there at driver. Great group of guys and awesome cars… moved from Wi to Va now working on my dream cars.
Cars from Japan are not only lower miles, they are well-maintained, pristine inside and out, and have the best built/materials used of all Toyotas built.
My buddy bought one of these about 6 months back. Its had a lot of problems he’s had to troubleshoot but he’s been really happy with it. I don’t think he’s planning on keeping it for long though which was the original plan since it’s had so many issues. If you’re looking to get into the world of JDM cars and importing this is a fantastic place to start
What type of issues, major or minor?
@@HtheKing Mostly electrical issues so nothing major. Troubleshooting and finding people that are willing to work on the car has been pretty difficult though. Even though it's basically just a Lexus a lot of shops in are area just aren't willing to touch an imported JDM car, I assume they don't want the liability or the hassle of dealing with it. He's also had some problems with the A/C and suspension. It drives like a dream and it's amazingly quiet, like rolls royce level of quiet, but it definitely takes a lot of work and research to maintain. I would not recommend buying one if it will be your only mode of transport, it's definitely only going to be enjoyable if you have it as a second vehicle.
Lol I own an even older one, 97. Everyone around me calls it an old mans car. I mean it's true but finally, someone acknowledges it lol, it is literally that car you destroy in street fighter game.
While good information, these videos are what hike the price of jdm hidden gems. Thanks alot
Last week I saw one of these and a Toyota Chaser being driven on the highway
My buddy got a 92 LS400 pretty much mint with 90k miles
the Toyota Celsior is the JDM version of the LS400. I want one so bad theres one for sale with OEM gold badges and emblems and its so clean
LS430 and the celsior too. Not crazy expensive. I picked up an LS430 with 109k miles for 7k two years ago. Put about 3k~ into repairs and the car is running pretty smooth.

Can y’all stop hyping up the underrated cars CUZ IM TRYNA GET THIS ONE and people just won’t shut up. Literally my dream car
At one point we used to have 3 of this beast at home plus 1 LS430 car
The perfect entry level jdm cars is any sport kei there almost all awd and turbod some even twin charged yes they have 65hp but they weigh 1500lbs and have some crazy aggressive gearing so they could be fast with low power and if you know which ones to get they were way under rated on power and tuned down to meet regulations so it's not hard to get 100-125 wheel horsepower which isn't crazy but it'll sound wild ASF and with the weight and gearing it'll be a rocket
there's one nearby that's been listed for a pretty long time that says it has a manual swap from an s14 and it's strange. it's got like 300,000 miles and it's $10,000 though
I really want to get a Crown or a Cresta with a body kit. My other car is coincidentally an r32 so this would be the perfect daily
Its cooler than all those other cars, its not so overused
Idk any $17,000 ls400

Driver motor sports? I was looking at that 300zx,they have some great selection
Celsiors are amazing
They are selling one now with 30k miles for 16900
From where ?
When you do a starter on this car you can promote it. Alex
What are the best years to look for ?
Come to Canada, ls400, 430s, aristos, celsiors, skylines, everything’s been here forever because of the import laws. I had an ls400 before my e38 and it wasn’t a bad car, looks great but leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to power. Although done right they can make good power.
Come to Japan 🤷🏿
These were litrally a grand in England a few years back with sun 80k on them .. if you want a grandad car this is it …
I agree
I seen one that had a twin turbo in it
I have a 2005 LS UL. It sweet ; but it’s got a lot of moving parts $$$$
I remember my dad had a lexus ls400
I want a ls 400 but they are so old that all of em are rusty af around here
I’d you got more money I recommend getting a Toyota century 1999-2001 great price and insane for the time
Yea those are cool, but not nearly as easy to maintain as an ls or celsior. 95% of parts are shared between the two, with the century if anything breaks, it may take weeks or months to receive a part, that is if you can even acquire the part in the first place.
What about a miata?
Id argue that the LS400 thr SC300/400 and the gs/is400/300s all are as cool as hyped jdm cars. Glad lexus is getting alot more recognition but the prices going up on these cars is making it Harder for me to get one😂
Oh.. the mods I would do
Alex my dad got this eG hatch is a project what do you recommend?
Bruh got his cars outta no where
What is the process to import one of these?
I like the ls430 more cus of the seat cooler
A million mile aluminum V8 and a gorgeous big body? Of course though I'll stick with my SC430
Because having the steering wheel on the other side is really annoying. That would be my answer atleast
only annoying merging or turning at a 45 degree angle
@@jesusserrano4670 man. You have to remember which side to get into. I’m from a country where you drive on the other side. It’s not really that cool
And it goes 500k miles without big issues

Need a celsior
Sorry but rhd sucks. Just buy the american version and thank me later. Theres not enough difference to put up with the aggravation of rhd.
I remember Only drive thru I could go through was checkers/Rally's
I work on a rhd jeep mail car at my shop and i hate it. No matter how many times i work on it i always try to get into the left door.
How do I get one imported?
I like how he never told us the model of the car, lol
because importers will price it as a 35,000 mile ls400
Well where do I get it
Yeah until you start looking for body panels 😂 I have just the ls, a 2000 and a 05 ls430. I honestly never thought it would be 1100$ for a used hood and 7to900 for 1 headlight. All used oem 😂😅 but for what they are. They are decently quick
In my country you see it every ware
How much is shipping is the real question
I need it
Is that a Creseda?
You can buy LS400s for like 5k in my area
Where
So uh I found a 96' Toyota Crown with 1JZ swap & LS430 VIP style bodykit. Costs around MYR18,000 (US$3.8k) is it a good deal or is it too good to be true?
How much?
I had a 98 celsior that I just sold. Car was beyond luxurious compared to the ls400.
A well optioned celsior is like a rolls compared to the ls400 lol
Oh it's definitely way cooler than a 300zx in my opinion.
doesn't beat the z31
Definitely better in every way shape and form.
That's A Japanese S class. ❤😎👍
Cause its 30 years old... thats why..I had one and it was very nice... but times change and leather cracks and rips and you have to move on... had a v8.. steel body so strong you could walk on the hood and roof... and did 20mpg
Why….. so many….. breaks…. In your sentences….. it reads weird…..
What's funny is most japanese people spec their cars out with wool instead of leather, and thats due to leather cracking overtime
