I assume you are talking about backpacking to the site and not canoeing. The deer campsites are not really accessible by foot. At least not by trail. You would have to bushwhack from forest road 6320. From the road you can get there in 20 minutes. From the canoe landing they are only about 300 feet off the lake. If I misunderstood please let me know and will do my best to get you the correct info.

How far is deer 1 from a parking lot/road? We plan to camp soon but have young kids and don't want to be hiking multiple miles into the site.
