- Its amazing what you find on general walks within the edge of the moorlands Staffordshire/Derbyshire peak. The Military firing range and abandoned tank sit nestled in the heart of open land.
This Canadian Ram Tank is nestled away and its a needle in a haystack of a find.
Please follow the channel for part 2 and a more in depth look at the fantastic piece of militaria.
Not a sight you see everyday and probably don't expect too.
However here is how it looks in all its glory.

this looks epic
Great video. A site I'll be looking out for, for sure.
Very strange. I've just posted some pictures of my best explores on Facebook and this was one of them and soon as come on UA-cam i see this video lol
Great footage.
Loved it there on my list too.
This is pretty cool ! I only ever found the one tank and that was in the South Downs - but they have removed it now to restored it!
This a grate video I just think the start a tad to long with the walking up to the bunk/storage things
Other than I really enjoyed the video (:
Cheers for the feedback. It's a learning thing and trying :)
Looks like a Canadian Ram tank, they were based on the chassis of the American Sherman . The small turret on the front left of the hull gives it away.
Yeah it's a ram tank! Nearly right they were on a m3 chassis
@@stevewaters5701 Oh, he's right, that's how they made them up in Canada. They were never combat vehicles.
This reminds me of the guardians from Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Please look it up and you'll see
It's an M-3 Lee tank. Like the one you see in the movie of Spielberg's, 1941.
Where is this I need locationssss
Found this in less than half an hour of google. Dont give locations to lazy people.
Eagle eyes... so just lazy people dont give locations too 😏
Clearly not a very good Tank as its full of holes !! ;-)
I wonder what kind of rounds it took to pierce it.
Please don't give your locations away so things like this can be preserved forever
Never give locations out only ones that a popular or known for historical reasons. So you can rest assured there.
@@destinationdiscoveryuk please don't encourage walkers over here though. It still has live undetinated mines there and is very dangerous. I enjoyed the video very much by the way. Happy new year
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer Hey, ive not encouraged anyone to go walking over there. Not even said where it is only obviously the town/area. Has we know its spread over many square miles. Our visit was actually with rangers. ;)
@@destinationdiscoveryuk they are pinned on Google maps and with your area location displayed on video can be found easily. I'm not saying you whole heartedly are encouraging walkers over there but there are many people who may attempt this. To the best of my knowledge park rangers or the local MOD DO NOT GIVE tours to UA-cam 'influances' nor to the public.
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer Appreciate your concern and the whole concept of the videos is to show what's about. Wont be interesting if there is a random body of a tank with nothing to go with it. We are part of 'S.S.R.T (Staffordshire, Search & Rescue Team') So we train in many terrains and locations. Hence we went with the rangers. And we are not UA-cam influencers. We record our outings and show them.
