Some of you have been asking....I sent it to the new address on the back of modern redemptions:
Topps Redemption Cards
PO Box 851347 Mesquite, TX 75185
Regardless of the expiration date.. I always send them in and 95% of the time that have always sent cards back in return
That’s good to know, I have so many NBA Draft redemption cards from the mid 90’s that I never mailed in. If I ever find them in my storage, I’ll send them in. If I find my redemption cards, should I send them one in its own envelope or just a stack of them in an envelope? I also remember that you were supposed to pay shipping & handling for your redemption cards, pretty much way I never redeemed as a kid because I didn’t have stamps, envelopes, and money for all the shipping & handling, do you still have to do that?
Hey Hey! Thanks for sharing the love! Happy collecting! Might need to look for some redemptions might work for us!
This is so awesome. I sent an email to topps before even sending them these redemptions. The representative sent an email back that said sorry there is nothing we can do for you. After seeing this I will send them to them and see what they send me.
Pretty cool of topps to do that. I have a few redemption cards. I might just have to send one in and see what happens. Thanks for video.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate you.
@@thehobbyphd I think I have one of these somewhere in my singles collection in my closet....think I'll search for it and send it in like you did try to score a similar deal !!
I have so many of them. Glad I found this video. That is really cool they sent something back instead of ignoring it.
I hope this gives you a reason to dig through your boxes.
I actually pulled one of these about 6 months ago and loved it for the nostalgia but had no idea what to do with it. I am going to send it in as well, thank you very much.
Thanks for watching! Good luck
I found an old Topps basketball draft pick redemption card. I think I am going to send it in after seeing this!
I got that exact reception card when I was a kid I sent it in had the AB set in a binder.
How is it possible that you had the exact redemption card when you were a kid? How did the Hobby PhD get ahold of the exact redemption? Doesnt add up.
Very awesome, I’m actually meeting Buddy Kennedy tomorrow night. He’s in the Phillies organization right now!
That’s awesome! Hope he gets some playing time.
Super enjoyed this. Gives me hope going forward, I've been at this since 91-92.
Let the hope flow through you!!!
I am going to start sending mine in, thanks!!!!!!!
Can’t be disappointed with that!
Topps is awesome! Nice packs.
I have 91' card A and B i thought about sending them in after going through my cards after years !! But they look great and probably keep them since ive had them soooo long. 🤔
If you like them that’s all that matters.
I have several of those redemptions. Should send them in. Thanks....
Thank you for the "eww, gross," for Franco brother...congratulations on your package
Wow! Pretty cool. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
oh snap! I have at least 20 expired redemptions from 1994-2019. Time* to send them in!
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for this! I was going to send in redemption card I got from a 1994 topps box lol
Pretty cool score for an expired card
I have 2 old redemption cards from the 80s....I need to try this asap
I think they are obligated to send something - because that redemption is the implied value of the box. It can’t “expire”
Good on Topps for doing that!
Nice I'm definitely sending my hockey one in
Ha ha, nice! Will have to send the C/D in that I have.
Nice to see Topps send you this awesome congrats
Dude that is totally awesome!!!! Super cool of Topps! Autos and shiny cards from the pack too!!! Super cool!!! I’m subbing you up too!!! Thanks man!!!
Thanks for the sub!
Sent in a spring training mail in promo from 1987, and a 1998 bowman guaranteed value card, and they sent me a care package, nothing crazy, but worth way more than those junk wax cards just sitting in my binder.
That’s awesome. Their care packages aren’t bad!
Imagine sending in something that had been expired for 30 years back as a kid in 1994(I was 13). 30 yrs prior was 1964. It seemed sooooo much longer than that. A 64 Mustang in 94 was already a classic. There's people driving 90s cars and trucks now but you'd never call those classics 😆🤷🤔
😮😕
Time is a hell of a thing
just a heads up, its a different jacoby jones from football lol
Totally! Was thinking of the Texan but might not have said it.
lol bro got so confused when he said that lol ran to google immediately to see how he died before I realized he was talkin about the other one lol
I still have my Black Gold cards that I redeemed!!!
Damn maybe I should find my old redemptions and try, I had some that b4 they expired were to be worth hundreds, probably today worth tens of dollars.
However traded for signed or even jersey cards much better trade up when otherwise worthless.
I expected clickbait. Pleasantly surprised
Setting low expectations and slightly surpassing them is my specialty.
I think I still have that redemption. Just like it. I have to find it
Nice. Great decision, plus, resale value on those in total probably close to $20 bucks so you definitely made the better choice money wise.
Thanks for the idea. I have 6 to send in..!
Hope it works out for you!
I have one or two of those still pretty cool of them to send you some cool stuff might have to try my luck
thats cool that they sent you something actually, tha beginning of this year i was given a topps 1993 complete set of series 1 & 2, which came w/ 10 cards of topps gold(i got tha derick jeter rookie), 3 cards of topps black gold, i got one of them redemption cards winner ABCD for tha complete set of 40 or 44 cards of topps black from that year, & it came w/ 10 sample cards for tha 1994 set i got a nolan ryan is worth over $20, i was wondering if i should send it in & see whut would happen(who knows maybe i couldve still got them or worse i could get nothing & lose), i cant really afford grading myself, but there is still people who will buy cards for a pretty penny not graded, i actually prefer my cards not graded just like when i was a kid way b4 they started grading, i stopped collecting about 1993 & 10 yrs after i sold all my collection thinking i was never gonna collect again(i feel so stupid now about that), i got a small cube of football & mostly basketball cards from sum friends when helped them move, then a year later i was bored & started looking up them cards & 1 of them was $60 then i started to collect towards tha end of 2023 again, so im learning all over, theres so much going on now, like autos, parallels, refractors, #/ cards, they didnt have that back then just one version, maybe an all star, mvp, or record breaker, i see it was recent you posted this, now im thinking i might be able to get more if i sold it, or maybe i might get something rare, but i thank you for post it pretty much answered my question i know i wont get tha whole complete set, but i will get something in return,,,
Your timeline is very similar to mine. I stopped around 1993 and got back into it a couple years ago. Make sure you send it to the new redemption address, not the one on the back of the 1993 card.
that’s crazy! lol
Subscribed. Fun channel, mate.
Thank you!
With inflation this seems about right
Wish I kept my Chance Adams auto redemption to do this instead of redeeming it out of spite. "Topps has to pay postage to send this."
I'm pretty sure I have one or two of those in my collection. I live in Japan so I'll have to get my parents to check my collection back home in Canada.
Good to know
i sent one in like 5 yrs ago and never got anything. it was the one from 92 topps baseball where u gotta get 3 perfect scratches without getting one out, my son actually pulled it off when he was 7 think the prize at the time was for a 10 card set of gold cards but yeah, never got anything back in mail
Terrible! I wonder if it has something to do with the fanatics buyout. I know when they bought Topps a few years ago they had a huge focus on redemptions.
yeah i mightve mailed it to wrong place too whatever the address on the card was is where i sent it, instead of just looking up a current address lol
Also, when you sent it to Topps, did you fill out the online form or did you just send it to the address as is?
Just sent it in with a hope and a prayer
@@thehobbyphddid you send it to the address on the card or to their latest address for redemptions? Did you include a money order and if so how much? Not sure if I include $1.50 or need to figure out the 2024 amount. Thanks!!!
@@homieboy4692 I sent it to the new address on the back of modern redemptions. No money order.
Topps Redemption Cards
PO Box 851347 Mesquite, TX 75185
Nice trade. Back in the day people would say someone was dead so I reported on YT and they were not dead.. You would not believe how many times HOF Bobby Doerr died.
The internet is very helpful and constructive in these types of scenarios lol.
i just recently sent in one from 1995 Orioles Spectra Light waiting to see what i get back
Topps is awesome when it comes to redemptions.....new or expired.
They’ve really turned it around - I also love the new 10 year redemption window.
I admit i'm not familiar with baseball cards. I mostly just wanted to see what happened in terms of the redemption.
🔥❤🔥🔥
I remember when I was a kid packs had like 20 cards each pack now it’s like 6-8 it’s pathetic.
I opened a factory sealed set that included 10 black/gold cards and one was the unredeemed A/B/C/D group card. Auctioned on eBay for $265.
That’s awesome! When was this?
Yea it sold on ebay but that card was graded a PSA 10.. makes a huge difference from raw ungraded
@@thehobbyphd I had just started doing eBay, I believe summer-fall of 2022
@@breakingchris6889 nope this one was raw
@@InvisibleKnight7 wrong
I admit I'm shocked that Topps still exists.
Glad to see that! Now I know!!! Also, could you post that address. I live by mesquite and wanna go get a job there 😂😂😂
I sent it to the new address on the back of modern redemptions:
Topps Redemption Cards
PO Box 851347 Mesquite, TX 75185
Wow Topps cares most companies would say would send you a legal letter saying they don't have to honor any agreement.
I kept thinking Ben Shapiro was talking.
Wander Franco. Gross.
Awesome reaction!
I have one of those same ones from 94 Series 1 I’m going to send for Group B
So I have a upper deck draft card that ended up being for Shaq. Do you think upper deck would do the same? Any recommendations?
Oh man I have no idea. I looked up what the card had sold for on eBay to make sure I wasn’t giving away something valuable. I also made peace with never hearing anything back. If you like it I would hold onto it.
cool!
Just subd from Buffalo!!!
Will Upper Deck do the same thing?
No idea - I know topps/fanatics has made a concerted effort on redemptions the last couple years
We have an unused 1996 chrome refractor kobe bryant redemption at my store. Thinking of grading it, there is no way topps is sending us enough to make it worth trying to redeem.
Oh yea that’s a tough one. You’ll get something back but $10 in packs might not be worth a graded redemption like that.
I sent in an expired Kris Bryant auto rookie redemption in and Topps never sent anything. Its very hit and miss.
What address did you send it to? The one in mesquite is where I sent mine.
I couldn’t name one single baseball player that’s currently playing, is Derrick Geeter baseball? I like stuff that’s actually interesting like punk rock, underground Rap, & the paranormal.
Did you fill out the information on the back of the topps black gold card before sending it in to topps?
No I just mailed it to their redemption address that’s on the back of the newer redemptions. I filled it out though.
Is a abcd winner a card i should try to send in i have been told its the rarest one? Your thoughts? @thehobbyphd
Wow, that's a hook up
So topps sends packs they have laying around? Aren’t they supposed to send everything they got out of the product?? Also the cards??
No I don’t think so. There’s a “no purchase necessary” clause on cards because it’s like a sweepstakes. If you send in a 3x5 notecard in with the right info on it they have to give you a chance to win. So i imagine they have packs around for that. Not super informed on it myself.
Thanks for the video I’ve got one of those I was wondering what to do with also I’m interested in the Ashcraft auto it’s a pc and I umpired graham from the age of 14-18 here in Huntsville
Which huntsville?
@ Alabama
Was hoping it was Texas, I drive through there all the time. Yea send me an email: thehobbyphd@gmail.com
did they give the winner card back to you
No they keep all redemption cards. I think so people dont try to scam?
Did you mail them a check for the amount they requested on the back? I have one and thought about sending off, it would be for my son
I sent no money. Only thing I paid for was the stamp.
@@thehobbyphd thanks for this!
I pulled one of these back in the day and topps screwed me by just spending me a stupid letter
Back in the day like 1993? Or just prior to the fanatics buyout?
@thehobbyphd it was 1993 I was 12 and topps screwed me
@@jdunbar2995that sucks!
wrong jacoby jones, the one who died was in the NFL
Yes I think I said Texans. But that’s who I was thinking about.
I have one of those winning cards to. I think its the same one. I am curious to know the address you sent it to because I would like to send it in and see if I get the same result.
You can find the address on the back of newer redemptions. I think it’s in Mesquite, Texas? I can dig an old card up if you want. Just let me know.
I think i have 1 of those from 1993
I thought about grading mine but I didn’t think it would grade well
Like that graham ashcraft auto as a reds collector. And i Know a cubs collector who would like that rizzo. Do a trade?
Yea that’d be great! Email me.
I wouldn't of sent that card in. An A/B winner card is rare. The cards Topps sent you are more valuable than the cards on the redemption card.
This seems so hard to believe after 30 years expired promo still works? The reason I say this: It's a far fetched idea and remember people will do anything to get more subs & likes, I did click on like but, remember the old saying: If it seems to good to be true, then it is exactly that? I will not be sending in my old redemption to Topps for 2 reasons: 1). If they send you back 1 auto and this guy got 2 autos and a relic, plus 2 packs of free cards. Have you ever wondered that card sent in to Topps was probably worth at least 20 times more than what Topps sent back? They are not going to lose and waste thier time by sending you back cards that are worth that much? 2). The Topps company was looking for this card because it was a rare card with higher end value than what the marketed was listed as, plus Topps was wanting that card back in thier hands to keep collectors from profiting from the card, think about that? I don't doubt this instance but, just making facts aware because some will get burned. I want you to imagine the card he sent in was may-be worth $ 2,900.00 dollars, Topps sends him back 2 autos, a relic and 2 packs of cards even though the redemption expired 30 years ago. I would say they sent him back about $ 100.00 dollars value of cards which much more than 35 dollars but, do you really believe Topps lost $ 65.00 dollars in this transaction? You have to realize real collectors like myself put in lots of $$$ into Topps from buying thier products which are still higher priced? I'm 63 years old and been doing this since I was 6 years old, I have older T206 Tobacco cards, cards by Topps from the early 1900's and newer cards from 2024 and all in between them years. The only thing I'm saying is don't beleive everything? There is a catch to everything, I dont know what it was but, something is not being told? The Topps company gave him a great replacement: 2 autos, a relic and 2 packs of cards.
You must be fun at parties.
36k views. You won
Topps did you decent.
What address did you send it to?
I sent it to the new address on the back of modern redemptions:
Topps Redemption Cards
PO Box 851347 Mesquite, TX 75185
the card you sent in is worth more than all that junk
The journey is priceless my friend
They gave you the garbage, but that's cool they sent you something.
From between the couch cushions lol! But yea was more fun than selling it on eBay for like $5 after fees or whatever it was.
i sent in a printing damaged
/150. w/ letter i got nothing,…
So im guessing that it depends on the representative who receives the letter and redemption. If they feel that you are worthy enough, then you may get something in return. I sent an email and the representative pretty much said if it is expired over a year then it cannot be redeemed. They did not say anything that showed they will figure something out in exchange for the redemption.
Was the letter from you or them?
