      Eeepp thank you so much for watching ❤️ and girl I know it’s so perfect I’m so thrilled with it. I’m wondering if I can get away with multiple sweaters in the same color 😂

    Love the Salty Day Sweater progress! You've done so well on the cables and the lace work! I've been working on cables and am getting my courage up to start an Aran Cable Sweater of my own. Can't wait to see the final product! Also love to listen to you while I knit in the evening. Peaceful Monday nights

      Thanks so much for knitting with me! And thank you I’m loving the salty days progress! I can’t wait to see it done!
      Cables are sooo fun though they intimidated me horribly! I think an Aran weight would be a great first cable garment!

    Another great episode. Your knitting is so pretty, and I can't wait to see the FOs. I have the Salty Days pattern but haven't attempted it yet - seeing how pretty yours is looking is making me want to cast it on this weekend. Also, if you love the gold/yellow colored yarn, use it! It'll make you happy and that's what matters most. You can always make mittens maybe so you can enjoy it if you don't end up making a sweater. Hugs from Texas! It's finally getting colder so I can actually wear my knits! LOL.

      Thank you so much for being here. It means so much to me :-) I also am so excited for the FO’s!! I definitely suggest the salty days pattern. I’m having so much fun with it! You are right I think I will give the yarn a try and definitely I might open to dying if I wind up not liking the color but mittens is also a really good idea. I’ve never made a pair of true mittens just fingerless ones! Have to admit I’m jealous of your Texas winters lol PA is brutal on a summer girly like me

      @@EmmaLarissa You may not be jealous today! It got down into the 20s with snow - just a bit but enough to make it slippery. I did get to work from home though so not all bad! Definitely not like PA though!

      Awe I am so excited about this!! Definitely turn to UA-cam for tutorials perhaps start with a hat or the step by step sweater by handmade by Florence she has a fantastic tutorial on UA-cam! Also I don’t think my brain can comprehend crochet so i give you so much credit there!

    Your Salty Days is gorgeous! I love the yarn choice. I’m a newer knitter and haven’t done lace or cables. I’m inspired!

      I was so intimidated by them both!! But that’s why I chose the salty days for the tutorial sometimes I am a more visual learner :)

    Here I am trying my very best to be a monogamous knitter and you cast on one after the other :-)). Your salty is gorgeous! I just frogged an almost finished cowl this morning and am turning it into socks while watching you.

    • @EmmaLarissa
      @EmmaLarissa  14 днів тому +2

      Honestly, I would love to be a monogamous knitter, but I really think I need one that is complex and one that is simple that I can read or watch TV while doing and then easy to travel with projects! Also, I have to admit that some level of it is wanting to make sure I have enough to talk about on my podcasts lol good luck with your socks I am still searching for my perfect pattern! Thank you so much for being here!

    I knit my Eva Cardigan in the same shade of drops Daisy and I love it so so so much! Even when I’m having severe sensory issues I can wear it and it’s very comforting. As others have said though it pills like crazy! I had to buy a proper clothes de-pilling shaver but it’s working well. I’ve been wearing my cardigan multiple days a week since April and still need to de-pill every few of weeks but it is slowing down now

    • @EmmaLarissa

      This is AMAZING info thank you for sharing!! I got scared about the pilling and haven’t worked on it more but I’m going to pick it back up! It’s such a lovely shade of green! I imagine it would be just gorgeous in an Eva cardigan! Thank you!

    Hey. I also made a Monday sweater with Drops Daisy. The sweater wears wonderfully, but it pills terribly. Greetings from Poland😘

      This is great info!! What color did you choose? I’m so glad it wears wonderfully but disappointed about the pills for sure but it may just be worth it! I got a sweater shaver for Christmas so I’ll be prepared! Thanks so much for watching ❤️

      Hello, love Monday sweater. But I agree daisy pills like crazy. I chose grey, your green and rose for my daughter, and it pills after 1 hour she wear, I depills after every use 😢 but still

    • @limeetreee
      @limeetreee 14 днів тому +1

      @@EmmaLarissa My sweater is black. I think adding extra thread would definitely reduce the pilling. I was thinking about combining Alpakka Følgetråd with Sandnes Garn

    • @EmmaLarissa

      I think that’s a great idea. Maybe I should consider that before I proceed with my Monday sweater, will have to gauge swatch!

    Emma your Salty Days sweater is so lovely! It's so exciting that you've discovered cables... they are so much fun to knit. I am also excited to see your Monday sweater as I've purchased Drops Daisy for it. I'm just like you with the size issue so it was great to see your Monday. I want it lose enough to be a nice woolly sweatshirt. I'll live with the pilling. I love the collar and the ease in the upper arm. How did you do decreases for the cuffs?
    I'm thinking maybe I want to try a split hem, which would be new to me, to help with being loose enough for me at the hips. I'm a pear-shaped woman so I need a little extra ease there!
    I'm thinking try Knit Picks Swish for your son's garments. It does pill but it's soft next to skin. I'm sensitive to the prickle factor and I can wear Swish, no problem. Happy New Year to you and yours! Enjoying your knitting journey!

      Thanks so much for being here! I’m so excited about my salty days! It’s nearly done! So excited for it to be a finished object.
      I was so torn on doing drops daisy or swish for my Monday sweater! I honestly have both and may do both 😂 I’m glad to hear that it’s so comfortable next to skin! I definitely can be sensitive to!
      I followed the pattern for the sleeve decreases! ❤️ thanks for being here!

    I love the color of your Salty Days! I’m going to knit mine up in drops daisy with the kid silk mohair. What size did you decide to knit?
    Btw, if you really like that Lucky Brand yarn, maybe knit it with another color and make something with stripes

    • @EmmaLarissa
      @EmmaLarissa  13 днів тому +1

      I think drop Daisy would be lovely with some mohair! I think it would prevent a lot of of the pilling and still give you the amazing softness of the drops Daisy! I decided to knit a size small for my 35.5 inch bust and I am knitting on gauge and really enjoying the fit pre-blocking!
      That’s a good point about knitting stripes I might consider that !!

    I know you are a busy Mom and Knitter but could you demonstrate the referred to raglan increase change k1, K1TBL….. I LOVED THE LOOK of this type of increase you showed in your sweater but wasn’t exactly sure of your instructions - thanks Georgia from BC

      Of course!! Always happy to help! Here’s a link to a video that demonstrates quite well! Since i won’t be posting for a week I don’t want to forget to answer your questions in the video :)
      I loved the results on my sweater and will
      Probably do it again in future raglans! I can’t remember for certain (since my note taking was abysmal)but I believe I only increased on the right side and purled across on the wrong side

      Awe I was hoping no one would notice 😂 northern PA is brutal. They’re often worse than this but I’ve worked really hard this year to keep them doing better. One day I’ll move where the weather doesn’t actively hate me 😂

      Sleep at night with Aquaphor coated hands inside some socks or gloves and it'll help get your hands through the winter.
      PS.... if you like how you feel in the sweater with the Lucky yarn, that's the true test. I've learned over the years that a color can look fine on me but I don't like how I feel wearing it. So that's my litmus test.
