Ride along for two laps during the Friday press day at the Hangtown National, round two of the 2024 Pro Motocross series, with MXA test rider Josh Mosiman. This was shot on our Insta360 Ace Pro camera.
Editors note, please forgive the black line coming into frame at the bottom of the video. Josh put this on over the camera to reduce wind noise, and it shifted out of place.

Looks like the tricky off camber downhill part that used to be after the first uphill is gone. Kinda a bummer.

Track looks sweet
Looks a lot more fun. I'm glad they took that 1 lined off camber turn out. I know the track was known for it but it didn't provide good racing. Hopefully these changes do.
Josh what are the factory 450 Honda riders looking
at on the left hand of the handle bars just before the start? They do it every time .
Hangtown Results.....not that much different than when on the 350 at Fox Raceway? Church of 350....catch the wave! ; ) You rode great and the track was pretty gnarly.
How is the track changed a lot? It looks like they just extended a couple corners and took out the off-camber. Looks pretty much the same basic layout as always.

I agree. Hangtown looks more like PALA than ever. Too many man made features, and not natural terrain in the layout. The track was best back when it was in Plymouth years ago.
@billfoster213 , it literally has had the same layout for decades. There are just minor changes. The only thing they've changed is the shapes and styles of the jumps. By more natural do you mean no jumps at all? Because it has plenty of sections with no jumps...
@@jkell411 sorry, I've gone to Hangtown since 1974, and it was a very good time. The current layout is similar to the 79 track, but seems more about keeping the speed down with technical sections.
@billfoster213 , I've been going for the past 20 years including riding and racing there. There are actually more straight sections with plenty of uphills and downhills. I don't like that they took out the off-camber section but they opened up some turns and made them faster. I think it is a better track for racing, but not crazy different from the past.

Does this Josh dude own MXA now? Or do they no have any other employees? Getting sick of seeing him interrupting riders and talking about himself all the time. Weirdness must run in the family..
