Cant believe our luck, we are ex Brummie's and my parents and I have been watching you both from sunny Queensland in Australia, and up pop my Aunty and Uncle with their dog Raven. You just made our day, thank you so much ❤
Thank you for sharing the beauty of my local area. So many people think that the Midlands is all about industry, it is but also has some stunning countryside.
Speaking as someone from the Peak District I'm very impressed how beautiful it is there, I wouldn't have guessed that there were so many hills. It really is a hidden gem you couldn't ask for anything better.
Absolutely stunning video , the shots and music matched perfectly...didn't realise there was such wonderful scenery in Shropshire. As for the staring contest Ewe definitely won :)
The Long Mynd has been on our to do list for a long time but we never quite got round to it. So glad we finally managed to get there, well worth the wait 😀
Several chuckles and a belly laugh for us in that one. What a beautiful place. The hill fort was huge, imagine moving that lot with primitive hand tools. Great video 👍
As it's my home county I loved the drone footage 😍 puts a total different view on the place. That's the Burway you drove up😱👍 well worth it for the views 😍 and Kinver Edge. That shot of the caterpillar brought back memories when visiting the place, we got covered in them dropping from the Oak trees! Thanks for passing through its a county that some people have never heard of. Enjoy North Wales😊 regards Jan
Thanks Jan. Oh didn’t realise that road was the Burway. It was pretty scary with the steep drop off. Glad you enjoyed our footage and it brought back some happy memories for you 😀
Excellent video shots from long Mynd. I was blindly taken over there last year by my cycling mates? Fortunately two of us escaped back to Ludlow Brewery . I'm enjoying your little adventure cheers
Thank you for such a lovely video. The Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley has been a family favourite all my life. My dad camped near Church Stratton as a lad so we often went there for a day out. We took Madge last year and had a brilliant day. Take care Gill
You have to get up early this time of year Carol, makes the day so long & your so lucky you can just nip into the van for afternoon nap. Nice to see you standing in my footsteps on the top of Kinver Edge, some lovely drone footage & the weather to go with it. It's a disgrace in this day & age that public toilets have been closed or have reduced opening hours. I'll be mobile again later this week, so hope to be out and about myself, take care looking forward to the next vlog all ready. 👍😁😎😍🌞
We do like getting up early when we are in the van to make the most of the day before things get too busy. It is very frustrating to find the public toilets close so early and some are not even open at all! Hope you have a great time when you are out and about again 🙂👍
Thank you for showing the beauty of Shropshire and welcome! We are going to drive to the Longmynd this weekend and GetawayGeese have suggested a different way up, so I hope that’s less scarey! So glad you enjoyed your day there. Lovely hearing the birds and you certainly beat the crowds on your early walk at Kinver Edge. X
Thank you so much for the last 2 wonderful videos, the birds sound so very happy!!! the scenery is so beautiful, and all the historical info is so complete... Lovely, lovely keep on filming. Lol.
Ahoy Pirates! Just too cute! LOved the sheep, I mean, how can one blame him/her for a good 'Audi-butt-scratch'?! XD And the Clint Eastwood-western staredown?! Bloody hilarious! XD Thank you for the bright early morn! :) Epic dronescapism again! Bear hugs, Captain
Not too bad a drive from where I live to Church Stretton and the Long Mynd and although I have been to Church Stretton a time or too I have never been up on the Long Mynd. Beautiful views I must say. I noticed the Topograph as you were approaching it. We have a similar one near here. I live just under the Cotswold edge and near to one of the official and ancient beacons and a short walk from the beacon is a slightly larger one than the one at Kinver Edge. From the edge of what the old timers called Shortwood you can see more or less all the way to Bristol to the West and North to the Forest of Dean across the winding Severn and North Easterly the Vale of Gloucester with the Cathedral dominating the view. Trouble is these places don't get any easier to access as one gets older and less able so it's a good job we have folk like you and Carol to show them to us. Keep persevering and I'm sure you'll get to see those Cave houses one day. 👍😉
@@LifeistooshortCK knowing Sussex as you two and I do, I know that you do also. In fact it has always been my opinion that most of the folk in this little country do not appreciate what is on their doorstep. But until I can get back out there I'm counting on you two to see it for me and you both do a great job. 👍
Some great shots and camera work. I know Carol wanted up early Ken but that's the middle of the night for me lol. Some of those roads were a really tight squeeze but I suppose that's one of the benefits of the van, you can get to places bigger vans can't. The two of you must have walked a lot of steps that day.
It was much earlier than we get up at home but well worth the effort to avoid the crowds. We certainly appreciate having a small van, it makes the right spots a lot easier. That was one of our more energetic days, we don’t always do a lot of walking ☺️
Hi Carol and Ken, I remember this episode and thought we must go and visit Kinver Edge. Well we’ve done it today! The lay-by where you parked was packed at 10am and there were a lot more people and dogs, but it was superb. I can recommend popping into the little rock houses. A range was lit in the living/ kitchen area and although basic it looked very comfortable. We must go again when the bluebells are out. Thank you x

Fantastic. We've done Brown Clee Hill which is nearby but definitely going to have to go back, hopefully with the van, to do Long Mynd. Lovely footage. Thanks.

Beautiful sights and sounds, with stunning views from the drone. Had to laugh at the stare-off 😄, and I’m a little disappointed that a ‘sheep buffer’ isn’t included in my Autoglym kit ... A lovely video 👍
Oh wow! We've just left a campsite right on the edge of the Long Monday today. Didn't go to the top this time, but still explored. Looks like you parked where we did 4 years ago and pushed baby Isaac to the top in a push chair (harder than I thought it would be lol). Great video as always. We're now at a campsite in Snowdonia that I think even you guys might approve of. Looking forward to the next video. Take care. 👍
Hi Carol & Ken, I love watching your videos and I enjoyed your staring contest Ken 😁 Can I ask what brand of footwear you use for going walking? Thanks, see you in the next video 👍
Thanks Martina. We don’t favour any particular brand of footwear or buy expensive makes. We generally go to Mountain Warehouse or Go Outdoors and try on several pairs for comfort. We would rather buy cheaper and more often.
Another lovely video, I have been there before but many years ago, and i do not remember it covering such a vast area, which is beautifully shown in the drone footage, obviously well worth a visit, this is all wonderful stuff and we are not even in Wales yet, take care you two,Regards Colin.

You would never catch me jumping off a mountain like that, even attached to a professional! I bet a disc thrown from there would travel a fair old distance, especially with a following wind.
Been thinking of going to Shropshire, your excellent film work has convinced me! When you are doing several days of wild camping, how do you top up your leisure battery enough to power all your gear? Do you have to plug in at a campsite?
Shropshire is well worth a visit. We have a 100Ah lithium battery that is topped up by the alternator when the engine is running and by a solar panel. We haven’t had to plug in at a campsite yet.
