As always, that introduction from the Ante-Chapel is wonderful to me, even more so with that beautiful choice of Byrd's Miserere mihi Domine. Impressive listening!!! When I heard it that same day, very late and tired, I had a feeling as strange as it was pleasant: that of being welcomed into that wonderful house with a hug. I cannot understand for what inexplicable reason I felt deep inside that I had returned to my beloved home after a long journey. I attribute it to the tiredness of the day and the warm welcome of the choir at the door of the Chapel. If we think about it well, it is a fraternal invitation to come in and share wisdom and love. That is how I understand it. Beyond the wisdom that this service exudes, on a par with any other, I allow myself to praise the successful choice of texts, and choral and musical pieces. In my case, I would highlight, in addition to the Miserere, the following works: - Smith's responses are very beautiful. - And the PSALM 137 1:6 is moving - The MAGNIFICAT and the NUNC DIMITTIS from Weelkes' Short Service are very beautiful - A wonderful exercise in virtuosity by the choir in Byrd's VIGILATE. Thank you very much for such beauty!!!🙏
Love the choir ofcourse but appreciate the young so talented blessed organists and clergy v special for me who is v poorly and Christian and musical 🎵 beautiful so comforting Thanku
Glorious service. Thank you.
Beautiful Introit. Watching from the USA. So appreciate the reverence and consummate choral and organ work.
