In 1995, as a civilian from Standard Aero, Manitoba Canada, I repaired 3 gearboxes on the C130H aircraft. The guys weren't busy so I got 3 teams of 2 and instructed them on repairing the units. We had a blast doing it as they had not seen the inside of a gearbox before. The guys were awesome.
My son was stationed at Coast Guard Air Station Miami. He learned much while there. He is now a certified A& P Mechanic and certified by the FAA to do aircraft inspections. I am proud of him and the USCG gave him a great growing experience. God bless all Coasties❤.
Maybe read a book, preferably a law book, before commenting. 🤔 USC Title 14 states: "The Coast Guard as established January 28, 1915, shall be a military service and a branch of the armed forces of the United States at all times. The Coast Guard shall be a service in the Department of Homeland Security, except when operating as a service in the Navy."
@@craigburgundy2054 Okay genius what did I say that was wrong? They are part of Homeland Security and do not fall under the DOD unless mandated by congress or the president.

Department of Homeland security, not the military.
They're both federal law enforcement and military.
@@Jake-rs9nq They are only part of the DOD when activated by congress or the president.
