He’s actually done this multiple times. I wanna say like, every other year he shows up on some talk show somewhere on Ash Wednesday. This year he was actually on Fox News & he was also here on stephens talk show.

As I got older that’s how I felt about Lent… not giving something up, but adding something or doing something to help others. I feel that brings me closer to God and it’s just more meaningful.
I agree, yet enjoy giving something(s) up. This year I have thought to replace each thing I give up with something that encourages my spirituality.
Every year Lent reminds me of my true calling. To attack and dethrone god.

Uh, why? Why would anyone think religious faith is a good thing? Religious faith is the bullshit answer you give when you have no reason for your beliefs. I can tell you this much. I have traveled this world extensively. Been to many countries and met many peoples. The most peaceful tend to be the Christians. I've been to countries where they kill you for being gay. For the crime of being raped (not performing it but being the victim). Where they kill you for wearing the wrong clothes. Or maybe in his parish the priest sprinkles the ash on the head? Both sprinkling of ashes and tracing an ahs cross are common practices in the world. Bepends on where you are which you are more likely to encounter. The Vatican and Italy sprinkle ashes, in the USA tracing an ash cross is more common. In my country we do both and it depends on the tradition in that particular parish.
