I find that guys don't want to work, sweat and be responsible for there work. That the 3 big things in getting a job. Oh and keep asking questions.

i applied for the LA county as a refrigeration journeyman, they love my background and experience i have, they hired me quick , actually they called me 15 minutes after the interview offering me the job , i already have 14 years experience on industrial refrigeration and i never knew i had a mild green color deficiency, i never noticed while i was working on the field, but on my color vision test for the county i failed the test even with all the good background i have and good experience they hold the position and want to talk to me about if i can be accommodated or not i feel so devastated, the guy who actually gave me the job told me, don’t worry you gonna be ok , just do what they say.... but i don’t know 😔 i feel sad honestly, that’s my profession you know,my current boss told me, if something happend he is gonna hold me the job because he knows i’m more than capable to do what i do

AK you rock!! The only thing that I hate about this field, and I totally understand why, is that EVERYONE will not budge on the requirement of having a drivers license. Like I said I totally understand why but sometimes it is disheartening when someone is trying to get back into the field to stay this time.

Things have change this year; my boss hired someone without a drivers license. I hesitated about him but he is a very driven, no pun intended.

This might sound like a stupid question to you but it's really serious to me I have serious arachnophobia and from what I'm hearing a lot of jobs are in small spaces in attics
