Very rarely. Only time you do is when the hay is put up a touch too wet. You really have to be around that 14-16% moisture range. I got pressed by the weather this year and put up a lot of hay around 17-22% and it actually turned out very nice.
I’d say yes, because instead of tying up an entire building for hay instead of equipment or cattle, you can store it outside and can make the rows as long as possible. Thanks for watching!
