    Amazing! My hair looks like hers in the beginning (even drier) and despite so much efforts I still never got the result in the end. My hair is very thick, coarse, high density & low porosity. It looks beautiful & healthy when it's wet but once it's dry it's super super dry, no texture, dull. I wish I could visit you but unfortunately we are not in same country :/ You did a very good job tho and it's giving me hopes. Thank you ♥

      I relate so much to this video! I have ALL the same issues and just as much hair too with a looser curl on top, drier texture in the crown and tighter curls underneath one side the gives me an uneven length. Cant win but this video sure did give me some hopes

    I hadn't been able to find a video on dense and coarse curly hair so far. This was just what I was looking for. I've definitely got a lot of hair, it's super thick. My hair does take forever to dry too but I wonder if that is more to do with the thickness/density. Whether it's high or low porosity I still don't know. My hair gets wet right away, but it also takes forever to dry. Another thing though my hair is more wavy than curly, it used to be more curly but someone said age/hormones can change the texture. So I've got different textures going on, definitely, but overall mostly wavy. The hardest thing for me has been to find the right product with hold, most I've tried are too heavy and way down my already wavy hair (at least i get that feeling), on the other hand it never holds long after two days I have to wash my hair again, all the waves are gone.

    I’m in awe! This IS my 6 year old hair! I’ve always just trimmed her hair , cause she’s little but I took her to a real salon based off of recommendations today. So now I’m searching everything I learned! I’m white. With normal boring white hair. My daughter is multi-ethnic and THIS IS IT! I feel so dumb for ruining her hair with all the same stuff I use on mine! We have 3 kids and the other 2 didn’t get this hair… genetics is crazy!

    Couldn't pass up watching this video cause that's my hair, thick/coarse texture/low porosity 2C/3A wavy/ curly. I've been watching the Curly Girl Method and found out my hair hates coconut (which mimics a protein), hates alot of protein ingredients which gives it overload quickly and hates glycerin which makes it frizzy on humid days. I'm still testing different products for low porosity and just bought the Raw Sugar shampoo and Conditioner, then used kinky curly knot today leave in and a little grapeseed oil mainly on the ends. I'm wondering if a moisturizing butter will help soften and define my curls/waves. I definitely have more waves on the top of my head and curls midway down. I need to find a curly hair specialist to cut my hair and give me advice. Thanks for video it was very helpful.

  • @BloodMoon375
    @BloodMoon375 2 роки тому +1

    Wow her hair looks amazing! From start to finish- just wow.
    So here's my deal, my hair has been being a very bad girl. She's low porosity, curly and no matter what product I try to use, it just sits on top of my hair.
    She loves to curl up in ringlets in the bottom half of my hair and almost straight waves on the top half. The last week or so, she's been super dry and no matter what I try it's not working! AHHH!
    Anyway, other than being a bit shorter the Before is exactly my hair.
    I guess I'll try clarifying it first to get all this build up off then a deep conditioner.

    • @tubax926
      @tubax926 2 роки тому +1

      Yup! Low porosity hair is very sneaky and so counter intuitive, you wanna use a lot of shampoo/clarifier to let water into your hair. I've tried no-poo, low-poo or even using absurd amounts of conditioners or masks but the answer was just so simple on the other side of the coin: use lots of poo :)

  • @poetinmyheart94
    @poetinmyheart94 4 роки тому

    I'm constantly changing my haircare products. Been using Everesvents lately, but I feel like my hair needs a good cleanse because it's coarse and not flexible. My scalp isn't happy either, but it hasn't been for a long time. I started using Nizoral to deal with my issues, but there are sulfates in it which worries me. My curls aren't strong as it is. If I do so much as nap for 10 minutes, my curls completely soften to flat waves. I can't scrunch my hair either (it's still short) because when I do, the clumps stick straight out in all directions as if there's no gravity. My hair is literally like wire. 😭 Only thing that works is using my fingers or a wide tooth comb to rake sideways and upwards slightly to get a little bounce...

    • @poetinmyheart94
      @poetinmyheart94 4 роки тому

      Anyway, I'm going to try that hard water shampoo and see if that does anything for me. I think I just have coarse hair though, so maybe nothing will help. I honestly can't wait until my hair is long enough to tie up/clip.

    Hello, I loved this video, it is very very helpful, your explanations are very clear! I just have a couple of comments. I have been wearing a buff in the nights but my hair still gets very frizzy and messy. Also, I feel that my hair only looks gorgeous when I wash it with shampoo, so I am washing my hair with shampoo 2 times per week (with a Deva curl product). Do you think is too much? I am working on a refreshing routine that allows me more time between washing days, but my results are very bad for the moment :(, my hair looks frizzy, heavy, no volume.

    This is my hair! Water sits on it. I did a treatment & it was better for one wash. I didn’t have this issue until going CGM. I’m thinking my hair prefers silicones to oils & butters

    • @Curlyhairalchemist
      @Curlyhairalchemist  2 роки тому +1

      I would disagree which is probably why you did the steps and saw the benefit once and one time only. The thing with buildup from butters and oils is that it takes months and months for that buildup to come off so doing one clarifier or one all purpose shampoo is not enough to remove months of the build up method that you’re so accustomed to. I definitely feel your pain and know that I can be frustrating but I will tell you that there’s a huge fundamental science to what our hair does naturally and then what we do to it due to products that are out in the market these days. I think my hair is JUST like hers! So would you say that her hair is naturally high porosity? My hair immediately absorbs water and holds on to it FOREVER, but it is so dry still. I ordered the Innersense products for hydration.

    • @Curlyhairalchemist
      @Curlyhairalchemist  5 років тому

      Her hair will reveal its porosity based on how well she will nurture it from this point out. She has so many textures it was really a joy to work with! Dehydration is from not using the right formulations. I really love the Color Radiance daily Conditioner.

    When the the curl primer just sits on your hair like geese (regardless of the price Point) does that mean you have low porosity hair? Virgin hair here btw

      If you’re needing a softer, smoother feeling before adding the gel I have product recommendations that are perfect for you! They can be found on my website www.megconkling.com and press CURLS HOLD MAGIC BLUEPRINT.

    is it possible on one person having all type of hair like coarse,medium n fine in one head?

    • @Curlyhairalchemist
      @Curlyhairalchemist  4 роки тому +1

      Yes! One of my members in my online class has all 3 and 3 different curl types from roots to ends. It’s completely normal which is why marketing is doing it all wrong in the products that are sold in drug stores. I have my members using only 3-4 products and they are receiving amazing results. Anything is possible when using CURLS BLUEPRINT I have created online tutorials for anyone in the world to learn about their curly hair. If you want to learn more visit www.curlsholdmagic.com/curls-hold-magic

    Healthy hair is naturally hydrophobic though and should repel water

      If you have a build up or need to just some good ole shampooing in there use the Malibu Hard Water

    What would you say her hair type is?

    • @Curlyhairalchemist
      @Curlyhairalchemist  4 роки тому

      Her hair type is one of many women who are completely misunderstood. Also I value knowledge and some answers require facts and science. All of that science can be found on my online class here www.curlsholdmagic.com/curls-hold-magic

    Great information. But, man, do I hate it when a hairdresser tells me I have a lot of hair... as if I don't know.

      Coarse hair is rare believe it or not. Such a continuing education conversation on this.
