Great video, our speakers don't work after my sons rolled the ski. This will help track down the problem. Hopefully we can cross the border again soon....PT is a nut!
Worked great on a 2021 GTX 170. For the forward side panels there is a black tab that can be pulled down if you reach your hand in from below. Reach up and you will feel a rectangular black part of the chassis holding the top tab in place. Once you pull this down a 1/4" it will slide right off.
Just completed the sound system and USB install on a 2020 Fish Pro. I can honestly say it was not bad BUT! If you are not a mechanically inclined or quite handy person, this install WILL get way beyond your comfort zone very quickly. If you have a Fish Pro with no sound you WILL need a special harness or you WILL need to do some very careful splicing of wires. Point is, if you cant tell a wrench from a ratchet and dont know what a torx is then you need to let a dealer do the install. Choose wisely cuz if you break shit it gets quite expensive quite fast. Peace out.
Thanks for the video. I bought a speaker set off a wrecked 2019 RXT300 to put on my 2019 RXT230. I got the speakers and 4 brackets. Thanks to your video I was able to identify the upper ones. I see your ski already had the base brackets mounted on. Were they on from factory? I asked because I can’t identify the 2nd set of brackets that I have left. They’re Id’d as “L” & “R” also.
Yes my base brackets were already there you might be able to see them on seadoos parts finder which will give you an image of all the different parts and kinda solve from there
Does anyone know what company makes these speakers for BRP? I listened to them today and they were incredible. Would like a similar sounding setup for my boat.

Great video! I just picked up a left over 2019 yesterday. I got out to the lake where it will stay (~ 3 hours drive), turned on the stereo to show off a little and only the left speaker has sound coming out of it! (insert sad face here). I haven't called the dealer yet and I don't want to bring it all the way back home after docking it in the marina. Hoping it's a loose wire? I assume there isn't a left/right fade feature? Sick sound though even out of only one speaker! LOL
SniperJ78 thats miserable! So there isn’t a fade feature to my knowledge you’re correct in that my guess would be one of the connectors isn’t making the connection pop the hood off with those two bolts in the storage compartment and then pulling away from the ski and ensure they’re getting good connection before you lug her back to the dealership! Enjoy the ski man!
@@TaskForceOffroad that's what it was - the connector for the right speaker wasn't even plugged in. Man, that made me mad. Fairly easy fix but it delayed my launch and fun by a few hours!
I installed mine on my GTR 230. Went out on the lake but my friends and cousins speakers seem to be so much louder. Same speakers. Could I have wired something wrong?
Wiring should be the same it’s just plug and play i doubt you wired it wrong. It is possible it’s a setting in your phone that’s limiting how loud your phone allows your music to be
bobbey lee as you see this is a fully plug and play system when the safety lanyard is removed all power to the ski is shut off when the ski was in a running state prior to the lanyard being pulled so with it being all factory i would assume brp would have taken that into account them selves. As for flipping i personally have never seen an ST3 hull flip not to say it’s impossible but very very difficult i have had times where i thought it was going to flip and it didn’t even with 3 adult men standing in one side and the foot wells being full of water it still was not enough to flip but just throw us off
Andrew Fazz no drilling what so ever super easy and straight forward install only thing that sucked was BRPs instructions i think this video should speed up the process for anyone else!
Marine Junkies yes that bolt i removed due to the speakers i was not able to reinstall so i would assume it is the same from seadoo and you should be able to remove it easily
Marine Junkies correct i forget if the nose bolts tie into it so you could be safe and remove those but it should be just the sliding motion it was very tight and also difficult to get back in properly i had to put a good bit of downward pressure to reinstall with the speaker there
Matthew Donegan-Ryan that's correct so it's all nice and plug and play i would also assume the new generation GTI Comming our in 2020 will be prewired as well.... it makes sense from a production stand point not having to change mechinery to produce different models just slap on the extra parts
